Summary: Does not deserve the bad rap
Review: Although the cartridge head will dry up if not used every few days, you just print something once or twice a week and if you forget like I did you just soak it in water, the color or black cartridge for about 30 minutes and it works like new. I have been using the cartridges that came with my X125 for about a month and have been printing a lot and they are still going strong. The color and contrast are good for such a cheap all in one. No more trips to the store for copies or that occasional fax, I have it all, all in the space of a printer and the cartridges really are not too bad and you can get refills for them for much less money than a new cartridge.

Summary: High priced compared to others
Review: Before you buy a new printer, see which cartridges are available at discount sellers like Costco. While the Lexmark Z51 is an excellent printer, the cartridges are only available at full price retail stores. The Z31 has cartridges available at Costco for almost half the price. But if your reading this, it probably already to late. . .

Summary: Pricey, but great quality
Review: Colors are very true-to-life, and the ink dries very fast. A bit steep, pricewise, but it does last long, and is a vast improvement over my old bubblejet, which I used to think was great!

Summary: Absolutley terrible ink!
Review: I bought the Lexmark Z45 printer back in mid 2002. I worked well great paper feed, awsome quality even the former TV channel Tech TV gave it a top pick. But I wasn't aware of how bad the ink is. For the first year everything was great with it. I would buy ink and it would last and last. Then the quality of the cartriges just went down hill. I would loose certian colors and wondered how I could fix it. well here at Amazon someone I was tipped that you just put the cartridge in warm water for five minutes and you cartride would work again of course this worked the ink was just drying out. But then arose another problem. The print heads started do go down hill to. I think with fears of people refilling they're old cartridges Lexmark made cheaper print heads. Ones that don't work well under any circumstances. I've tried buying third name brands for cartiridges and I still get the same results. I've had this cartride for 3 months now and the yellow has stopped working completley, and the red is leaking terribly and this isn't a one time deal either. The last three or four cartridges have been this way. My odds of getting a good one are about one out of 3 or 4.Every time one color leaks and another ones print head breaks causing it to fail. I'm buying a new printer now becasue I can buy a pretty good printer for the price of 3 or 4 of these cartidges. Look at the Canon i560 it has an average five star review plus seperate ink tanks so you only have to replace certain colors.

Summary: Don't waste another dime!
Review: I have a Z82. I have had problems similar to those of other reviewers. Especially the ridiculously expensive ink cartridges running dry after minimal usage. I'm done buying cartridges, and I'll never buy another Lexmark product again. I'll just use the Z82 as flatbed scanner and move on.

Summary: Poor performance
Review: I have purchased several of these cartridges over the past year, Invariably, they run dry with minimal use. THe Lexmark 'clean cartridge' function does not help (and only wastes my black ink). I am very disappointed in this product.
