Summary: Worth using the original
Review: As previously said, nothing beats OEM materials when quality matters; especially since Canon makes better than average inks and papers. I not only had poor results with off-brand inks before, but actually had much shorter catridge life as well.

The only beef I've had is that they use the same model number (BCI-3e) for both the photo and non-photo versions. THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGABLE! I got photo ink for my i850 by mistake and the results were horrible.

Summary: Incompatible with i560
Review: Do NOT buy this product if you have an i560. That model is not listed on the packaging. Amazon's search engine will incorrectly point to this product if you use the term "canon i560 ink" as I did. I had to send it back. Avoid the hassle by not buyinig this item if you have an i560.

Summary: works pretty well for my canon F-80
Review: i have a canon f-80 and i do quitea lot of printing, copying and scanning. I have always used genuine canon and these inks are pretty good and last a while. The colors etc. are great and they are not so pricey compared to other after market manufacturers.. i would say around 10-12% more. since, these cartrides are less than 10$ each, that's worth using OEM inks.

Summary: Unhappy.
Review: I have a Canon Multi-Pass printer which printed outstanding color photos from my digital camera until I decided to purchase refurbished ink tanks at a very low price. DON'T DO IT!!! The ink that is used in refurbished tanks are inferior and caused me to ruin my printer head. The new head cost me $80.
I now use the Canon Multi-Pack, which I purchase from Amazon at a really good price and I am back to printing great color photos once again.
I learned my lesson the costly way, don't you.

Summary: Great quality prints
Review: I have noticed a significant difference between the brand-name ink tanks and the generic ink tanks for my Canon S520. The brand-name ink that came with the printer produced near-laser quality prints, even on "Normal" printing (not "Best"), and even "Draft" was nice enough. The generic ink tanks seem to need "Best" quality to print as nice, which uses up ink faster. If you can afford to, stick to the brand name!

Summary: Worth the extra dollars
Review: I use the Canon BCI-3e ink cartridges for my Canon i900 photo printer and the results are very good. I tried the more inexpensive generic inks, but noticed a decrease in quality for prints, especially photo prints. It is definitely worth the few extra dollars to use these original Canon inks, and buying the 4-packs makes sense, since any cartridge can run out at any time. The 4-pack means I'll always have a spare when I need one.

Summary: Nothing Beats Genuine Canon Ink!
Review: If you have a canon printer you're probably very happy with its color reproduction, if you wish to keep that going stick to genuine ink. I recently bought generic ink in an effort to save a buck. What happened? I got horrible results, the "black" ink looked more like deep green, every picture I printed had an unatural color, all the colors were either too strong or too weak. The generic ink smells like permanent marker and doesn't last, the images fade really fast under bright light, genuine canon ink does not, and is practically odorless. The price of genuine canon ink is higher than the generic stuff, but you're paying for quality, when it comes to printing, quality is very important. Buy this ink!
