Summary: A Great MP3 Player, Ideal for Working Out
Review: And a note to Brad in Fairfax... if it's defective, return it. Just because you bought one that happened not to work, doesn't mean they ALL don't work.

Okay... so believe it or not the first one I bought didn't work either. I returned it, bought another one. The instructions are as simple as can be. When you plug it in to charge, you make sure the switch is in charge position. The book says when the green light goes off, it's done charging. You put the switch to transfer/play to put mp3 files onto it. Drag & drop, doesn't get much easier than that.

Of course you can get larger capacity MP3 players with more features, like screens with titles, etc. But I bought this for working out. I don't need a screen, I just need the music. It's the perfect capacity for a good 2 hour workout. I don't want anything bigger because i'd rather not have it get in my way. I don't want anything more complicated because i'm concentrating on working out, not scrolling through my music. if something comes up that i decide i don't want to hear, i skip it. if something comes up i want to hear again, i go back and listen again.

The neckstrap makes life REALLY easy, especially when you work out. You don't have to look down to find buttons, you can feel the raised areas on the strap. i LOVE that the headphones hook into the back of the strap. i've caught my headphone cord before while working out and it's a pain, not to mention if you do it too often, they're broken.

I like the fact that it has the little AAA battery compartment that you can piggy back onto the main module. I haven't used it, but it's nice to know i could.

Design-wise, this thing is cool. i like that there's no special software and no cords. if i have my keyring with me at a friends, i can just plug right into their computer and get mp3's if i want...

This little gadget is great. it's small, easy to use, has cool features and sharp looks. i highly recommend it. i also recommend returning any product that doesn't work when you buy it... does anyone REALLY need to be told this?

Summary: Retarded
Review: Don't be fooled by the look of this product. It's a piece of crap.
1. There's only one button play/pause. 2. There's only one damn button. 3. No volume, track navigation, and you have to wear it around your neck all the time because the lousy headphones are integrated with the strap. I found it for $50 @ Target and already returned it!

Summary: Get this for ease of use and style
Review: Ease of use is best to describe the player. It has a drag and drop interface so there is no need to use a program to transfer music. There is no copy protection on the player so music can be copied to another computer with ease. The remote on the player controls play/pause, skip to forward, skip backward, volume up and volume down. The player resumes playback at the start of the last song played. As for the controls on the player, it's simple as there is one switch. The off/charge position and the playback.download position. I never worry about batteries as I leave it charging in the USB port and when I flip the switch it shows up as a removable storage device. It comes with an external AAA battery pack the provides 10 hours of music and when attached looks like it was built as one and not an attachment. I don't mind the omission of the lcd screen on the player because it really is liberating to not worry about renaming songs. I use this player for the gym over my ipod as it is so much lighter and I put my top 25-30 songs on it and don't worry about changing artists, albums, etc. The sound from the player is amazing. It doesn't have an equalizer and it still sounds better than my 3rd gen 20gb ipod and my old samsung yp-30sh (the key ring replaced this unit). I really was shocked by the sound quality. In terms of looks it is top notch. Everyone comments on how great it looks when they see it. Having said that I bought the KEY005 and not the KEY006 because I would never where one around my neck cause I think it looks stupid to do so. It is also rugged as I have dropped it on the treadmill and there were no chips or dents. In the office if I need to take a file home I just delete a track from the player and drag and drop the document. The only minus is there is no ability to scan through songs. I don't mind this anymore as I just turn on the player and forget about it. The only item I replaced was the headphones. Here is a link of the ones I got with a short cord and work perfectly for me: ..... In summary, I have owned this player for 3 weeks and this is the perfect player for the gym, office and short commutes.

Summary: If you see this on eBay, buy it!
Review: I did. Then I read another review that here that talked about its limited remote control functions, and I got worried. Fortunatly, the reviewer was way off base. The neck strap remote is unique and has volume control, skip, and scan modes. The unit does remember the last song played as well. There is a minimum amount of wires to fuss with because the ear phones are plugged into the top of the neck strap. I'm really happy with this MP3 player.

Review: i got this mp3 player for my birthday and it rocks! i love it so much. and how cheap! i got it on sale! it doesnt skip ever or there is nothing ever rong with it. the only problem is that i dont like how there is no screen and all the controls are on the neck strap. but for the person that sayd it was really bad. its not. if its not playing, are you holding the play button down for 2 seconds? is it charged all the way? if your looking for a really good mp3 player at a really good price i recommend this one! trust me!

Summary: Great concept
Review: I got this product and loved it. The wearable nylon strap with volumne, FF,REW controls is very convenient. The earphones are very comfortable and deliver super HQ sound. The inbuilt niMH battery automaticaly charges as soon as the player is plugged into the computer's USB port. The additional AAA battery pack is also neat. This product is a hit !

Summary: Aways good to go!
Review: I have been using this unit for about two years now. I had the neck strap go on me after I accidently pulled on it while carrying it. Philips replaced it within a few days! The first thing that you need to know is that it is not a PDA or a Juke box. There is not display or fancy EQ features etc. It is however, a great unit for those who wish to keep a low profile while listening to MP3's or WMA's. The sound quality is excellent. This can be improved upon by using a higher grade headphone then the pair supplied with the unit. I use full over ear style when bike riding in the fall. As far as usage, it wins over other units hands down. By simply touching the right spot on my shirt, the unit allows me to control track selection, volume or start/stop features. I often wear it while shopping. I can set volume levels so that I am jamming, and still able to talk with store assistants. If you need alot of bells and whistles, skip this player. If you want portability, a very cool design, and ease of use, this is the game right here. Pro: light weight, easy to wear under clothing. Neck strap provides good control features. Easy to download from PC Cons: no expandability, but new units have 256 meg capacity.

Summary: Cool gadget for digital music buffs
Review: I like the Philips Wearable mp3 player. Its very small and lightweight. So lightweight that on my first use I kept checking to see if it was there. It comes with a neckstrap with controls built into it. It RECHARGES via USB and doesn't need batteries! I usually recharge it every night like my cell phone but I think it runs for at least 6 hours. The drag and drop interface in windows is fine. I haven't yet figured out the order that songs are played in, might have something to do with first song copied=last song played. It also comes with a battery pack for an AAA battery. The headphones also fit very comfortably in the ears and block out outside sounds to the point where its almost dangerous to wear it on the road. The sound quality is great.

The only drawbacks that I saw were the fact that its not upgradeable, but I knew that when I bought it.

Overall its a very nice product, very cool, cute, cool looking, no hassle and easy to use.

Summary: Inconvenient Design
Review: I love the concept of this device, however the way they implement it is sloppy. There are no controls on the USB device and you can't plug your headphones directly into it. You must use a relatively large strap as a control device that the headphones plug into. By the time you have it hooked up properly there is more bulk than with other MP3 players with controls on the device.

Summary: cool gadget
Review: I love the MP3 key. I gave it 4 stars because i had to fork out an additional $15 at best buy for a car adapter. I would also like a fast forward/reverse feature, but I knew there was not one.
