Summary: Unreliable Korean electronics
Review: I fell for the planted reviews here and bought this, to much grievance. The unit had a defective screen so I had to get a replacement. The second unit stopped functioning after 3 weeks. I was also very unhappy with the uneven sound quality. The earbuds are a total joke. Get a Now Evolution instead, which is also cheaper.

Summary: Great Buy
Review: This is my first mp3 player and I must say that I'm very pleased with it thus far. The voice recording is good as long as you have those you want to record very close to the unit. The sound quality is great. The equalizers are a cool feature. The LCD displays just about everything you want to know about what you're playing. Last but not least, the design is nice and the compact size of this mp3 player is great...I don't have to worry about where to put it since it's small enough to fit virtually anywhere.

Summary: Hold the praise..
Review: So, I agree with 99% of what has already been said about this player. It looks cool. It sounds great. It does amazing things. But I doubt any of the earlier reviewers use a Mac. If you're one of the many out there being fooled by the manufacturer statements that this device works with a Mac - DON'T.... No one at Digitalway knows anything about Macs. Their software definitely does not work on any of my three Macs - which run all the operating system variants. Their customer service does not reply to phone messages or emails (I've left a bunch of each in both San Diego and Korea). When I finally did get a human being in San Diego, he spoke for a few minutes before telling me he had to "leave the get to the Post Office before it closed" and left the problem unsolved. Of course, he took all my details and promised to call back - which he didn't. You guys with PCs out there just need to pray your player doesn't go wrong because these kids are rank amateurs at customer service.
Yes, I do have a Wintel PC at home, so I was able to get software to interface with the player, which is why I know it works well and sounds great. But, like an earlier reviewer, Real One Player isn't the software I would have chosen - it managed to corrupt my CD driver, but that's another story.
Needless to say, my player is going back to Amazon this week and I'll be getting a player that honestly truly does work with both PCs and Macs.

Summary: Nice mp3 player
Review: Great mp3 player, but I can't upload mp3, wma's to PC. Not sure if other players work this way since this is my first one. I can only delete them if I need to add more songs. I like the case included, since it helps in case I drop it. The picture on the website makes it look like it's got silver face but it's really more like a mirror (and finger prints show). The controls are easy to use but the wrist band it comes with is not very good for running or working out.

Summary: Masterpiece!!!!
Review: This is one amazing piece of electronic equipment. The sounds coming out of this small device is incredibly clear and sufficiently loud. One of the best things I own. I definately recommend this to others.

Summary: Good Stuff!
Review: What can I say? This little baby is all that I ever wanted. Small, fully functional, loaded with goodies, and a large memory make for one happy camper. It took me days to just to play with all the features and I'm still not done. I'm telling you, all you'll ever need is on this mp3 player. The folders are a great addition, and the navigation feature while you listen to music is a great plus. The sound quality is superb, the look is sleek and sexy, and it's smaller than most cell phones. The carrying case did need to be modified in order to accomodate the volume control, but that's only minor. My only other gripes about this product are that the battery life doesn't live up to expectation, and that you can't upload mp3's to your comp (not that it's the devices's fault - there's some stupid intl. law that it has to abide by). Other than that, I say this product is more than a great value, it's a freakin' steal! I love mine to death!

1. Feels cheap

Summary: One of my best electronic purchases
Review: I typically stick with name brands, especially Sony, when it comes to personal electronics. I had never heard of Digitalway until seeing its products on Amazon, so I was a little weary about purchasing the Digitalway MP3 player. However, after all the positive reviews for the Digitalway MP3 player and seeing the incredibly low price, I decided it was worth taking a chance.

The FL100 128 MB MP3 is worth ever dollar that I paid. It has so many features not to mention a lot of memory in its very small body. The sound quality is fantastic. The 10hour playtime on one AAA battery is also very nice.

I primarily use my MP3 player during workouts, so only really take advantage of the playback features. However it's nice to know that there is an FM tuner. I don't see myself ever using the record feature, but you never know.

There are only a couple of things that Digitalway could improve. The earbuds do not fit very well and always seem on the verge of falling out. I replaced the earbuds with another set that I bought for my previous player.

The beltclip is nice and sturdy, but an optional armband would have been nice. I'm nitpicking now!

If you plan on taking your MP3 player on longer trips and/or won't have access to your computer, you might want to consider paying a little more for the 256MB model.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Digital MP3 player. Its very small size, multitude of features, low energy consumption make it a winner.

Summary: Great gizmo for big kids
Review: There's not much more to add given the previous reviewers info - it's all what people say it is. I searched for months, starting from knowing nothing about MP3's and memory roadmaps. This is a great little toy which allows you to store approx 30-35 MP3 songs of very high quality. Hook-up to a PC for the first time is a breeze, even for a PC Dummy like myself. If you want something that plays tunes and has a good FM receiver then this puppy is for you. If you want it as a recorder, it does an ok job to within 5-10 feet. It can be expanded with the most up to date memory [MMC/SD] so this toy is here to stay for a couple of years. If I really had to gripe, and this is pushing it, the battery life is nowhere near 11 hours. Try 5-7 hours depending on battery type and user set-up [backlight display, on/off frequency etc]- You can't go wrong with this one, go for it.

Summary: Excellent Purchase
Review: Simply put: this thing is awesome.

I have owned several cd players and one MP3 player before, as well as FM audio devices, but none of them can compare to this amazing little piece of machinery.

The sound is simply fantastic. The FM receiver has a very satisfactory tuner, and there seems to be an option for receiving worldwide and japanese radio waves, though I only tried picking up Japanese radio waves, and I don't think I was able to receive many in my area (though I live on the other side of the world from Japan.)

The design is very, VERY sleek and small, and very lightweight, yet it maintains a feeling of durability. The carrying case that came with my 256mb version of the MPIO FL100 model has apparently taken most of the consumer reviews into thought and rennovated the design because there is a slot for volume control, as well as all the other buttons. I also received a neckstrap in addition to the standard wristband. I'm not sure if you would receive all that with the FL100 128mb version, but I would think so.

What really is fun about this mp3 player for me is the features. The controls take a little bit of time to understand, and the manual can be a little bit difficult to read because the parent company is Korean-based, but I skimmed through the manual and figured out pretty well how to work the device within a half hour or so. Once you know how to work the player, its interface is really pretty easy and simple to understand and use. I really like the equalizer -- the presets are pretty decent, but I especially like the user-adjustable wavetable. It's fun to tinker around with your own sound settings to get the type of sound you like most. You can adjust the system language to several asian languages if you can read them, as well, but I can't read any of the few listed (Korean, Japanese, Chinese)

The software that comes with the player is really pretty satisfying, in my opinion. It is very straightforward and easy to use: you just power-up the mp3 player, hook up the USB cable from computer to player, and install the software. The cool flash-based setup software is really cool on a good system, and a little bit annoying on a less up-to-date one (gets a little bit clunky/slow on my 500mhz Celeron). But that's just the setup software anyway...you only use it once and then you either use the MPIO Manager software or Windows Media Player with the included plugin.

The USB cable is really fast for transfer/deletion of files.

I guess that's about it. Definitely a five-star device. I love mine.
