Summary: Couldn't Be Happier
Review: Ordered on Saturday, got it Tuesday afternoon around 2pm. 20 minutes later I am listening to all my MP3s. With a computer that notoriously rejects new installations, had NO problem. Set up was quick transferred about 15 mp3s in about 5 minutes, disconnected, ready for the gym.
I can't speak to the long term performance but so far I couldn't be happier with my latest, favorite, little toy

Summary: So very awesome!
Review: Easy to navagate, great sound quality, microphone is good for personal use but not great if the person speaking is more than 5 or so feet away. Headphones are much better than I thought and fit behind the neck as all headphones should.

Very easy to set up; just put in the CD and download the creative playcenter, reboot, set it up, reboot, and your done. Good program too, I HATE musicmatch jukebox so im glad that this doesnt use it. The program starts up automaticly when you plug your player into the computer.

The player holds about 4 hours of music, so if you want to put your entire collection on your mp3 player, id have to reccomend the Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox, which a couple of my friends own and rave about.

Really good and pretty cheap. A great buy

Review: I got it for a christmas presents, and it was so easy to get the music on it, and the voice recorder is a lot of fun. It's nice that u can get more memory for it, that's simple to do too.

Summary: My Nomad has performed well
Review: This is the first MP3 player I bought and I've been very happy with it so far. I use it only at the gym and have had zero problems with it for about the past year. The software that comes with it is simple enough to use. The sound is good and allows different settings, which is handy sometimes. It is also fairly rugged as I have dropped it a few times but it always come back to life. I also like the compact size of it. I recommend it.

Summary: Good Unit
Review: I bought the Nomad IIc for myself a month ago and I'm quite satisfied with it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
-I havent had any problems with it at all. Havent dropped it yet though.

-Inserting an addtional 128mb card is easy.

-The volume is fine unless your absolutly deaf.( I have mine comfortably at level 10 and the max is 25).

-Software works well for Windows XP AFTER you patch it.

-You can erase songs on the unit if you end up not liking it.

-After a day of handling the unit. I'm able to press all the buttons while its in my sweeter pocket upside down. Who needs a remote?
---------------------------------------------------------------
The only things that I didnt like are.

-If your songs are not properly named on your computer, the player wont display the song's title or artist properly, simply naming the song file "Britney Spears - Crazy" wont do. The player only displays the first 12 characters when viewing/listing all your songs (you would only see "Britney Spea") and when you play a song, it displays whatever you have under the "title" heading and the "artist" heading of the file. I had to personally re-name my 200+ song music collection so the player would display the songs properly. Other Mp3 players probably have similar problems

-Belt clip [is not good], I just unscrewed it.

-Headphones are alright. They're the ones that wrap behind you head. You could probably buy better ones though.

-FM tuner would be nice. Older discontinued models (Nomad MG) had one, why cant this one?

-Its a pain to transfer mutiple files to the unit. In order to do it, you must make a "playlist" containing all the songs, and then transfer that.
----------------------------------------------------------
I highly recommend this unit to anyone who just wants a small inexpensive mp3 player.

Summary: Great MP3 Player!
Review: When I first received this MP3 player, I had some problems with the software included. It froze up on me a few times (Windows 98.) I ended up using RealOne Player. That worked great, and when I started listening to the music, its quality was great. The features are great, and the headphones arent the best, but they arent bad. Overall this was a great MP3 Player.

Summary: For the money, nice piece of equipment...
Review: This would be one of the coolest gadgets I've owned if not for three little drawbacks.

The sound is excellent, though I would agree that I want for a bit more volume. The memory capacity is fine, and the way prices are dropping on 128MB cards doubling the memory is now a reasonable expense. The headphones sound like the Sony pair I once used, but are far more comfortable. They could use another 10 inches of cord, but I'm a pretty tall guy.

The problems: manipulating the menu stops the music, no input jack for recording, no drag-and-drop file addition.

The menu thing is annoying, but not a deal-breaker.

I happen to be a young journalist and I use the player to record interviews. However, without a jack I cannot plug in a telephone mic to record phone interviews. That would be a huge plus.

The software must be used to move files on and off the player. Even my lousy digital camera, which I got for free with Windows XP, allows me to drop files onto an icon to put them on its memory card. Without this capability, if I find a song I like on a friend's computer, I can't just add it to my Nomad across the USB hookup. And I can't move my own stuff onto a friend's computer. I would have to install the software first. That's not cool.

I still love this thing to death, though, and use it constantly. It replaced my Discman with ease.

Summary: Great Player
Review: I love this player, it is kinda hard to use the menus, but the sound quality is phenomenal and the screen is much bigger than i thought it would be, and it shows all the important stuff. with the cool backlight and the silvery casing, my friends always ask me about it. it looks so cool. if you dont have the money, save up! its defenantly worth it, and you will agree.

Summary: Maybe good for some people
Review: My husband bought Nomad II (c) for my birthday because he knows I like music and want to have something to listen to while jogging. However, it froze a couple of times during the first week. So I returned it and bought a iRiver SlimX iMP-350 and I am happy with my decision.
Pros about Nomad II (c):
- small, light
- using memory, won't skip
- have a clock
- have recording capability
- use one AA battery
Cons:
- It has limited capacity, even with 128 MB. For people like me who has lot of discs and likes to listen to a variety of music, it is not very convenient to tranfer files constantly.
- feels cheap
- To view time, you have to navigate and push the buttons several times
My point is it maybe good for some people but not everybody.
