Review: This mp3 player is awsome. it has everything. the sound quality is unbleavable. When i got it i was amazed at how small and lite it was even with the battery and a FULL memory (haha the memory thing is a joke). Its a great product and can get extrmly loud. there are multiple settings in the menu. All around i would recomend this to anyone. an awsome buy.

Review: I have never really felt the need to write a review of a product until now. I just got my 256 mb cw200 last night and I think it's probably one of the greatest purchases I've made. I haven't owned any mp3 players before so take the review with a grain of salt but if you read the other reviews of people who have owned one before they say basically the same thing.First off, the thing is sleek and tiny. It weights virtually nothing and looks cool as hell. Second, I'm very technical (lan admin) but I could have been the most computer illiterate person and I would have had the same results. I plugged the usb cable into my pc and into the iaudio. XP recognized the device and installed the driver. Installed the jetshell software and I was ready to go. The whole process took all of 5 minutes. I was expecting something to go wrong at this point because nothing is ever this easy. Nope. I found my directory with all my mp3 files. Dragged and dropped. A 5 mb mp3 copied in like 20 seconds. I dumped a boatload of them on there and in 5 minutes it was ready to go. Amazing. Now comes the testing part. Plug in the earbud phones that came with the player. Of course I haven't read the instructions at this point but in two minutes I figure out how to work everything on the player. I like when a product is intuitive like that. Sound quality is fantastic. Display is a little hard to read but that's minor. ... My one and only complaint is that for some reason, the wires to one of the earbuds is about 5 inches longer than the other. It's not a matter of adjusting, it's just longer. It looks kind of goofy when I wear it. I did email the company asking if that was by design or if I had bad set. Hopefully they'll send me another pair. At any rate I highly recommend this to anyone considering getting an mp3 player.

Summary: Sounds great but I have a couple of gripes
Review: I also did a lot of research on the internet before purchasing the iAUDIO CW200 256MB MP3 Player w/FM & Voice Recorder. One of the features that had attracted me was the built in FM tuner and the ability to record FM broadcasts. Unfortunately, the FM reception has proved to be extremely weak for the NPR station that I intended to record programs from. I also own a $35 Sony Walkman radio that can receive that same FM station with no problem, so I don't think it was a problem of signal strength. Hence, I have found this unit to be unusable for one of the main reasons I had purchased it. My only other complaint is that the LCD display is extremely small and difficult to read. Otherwise, the sound quality of the MP3 player is phenomenal.

Summary: Very nice MP3 Player
Review: I just want to say that everything positive you read in the reviews of the iAudio is true! I purchased the 128 MB player for my wife last month and we have both really enjoyed using it. The sound quality is incredible, even more so if you are willing to upgrade headphones. You really can't go wrong with this one.

Summary: What other people haven't mentioned
Review: Cowon IAudio 256MB. Some comments that others haven't stated. I am a first time MP3 player buyer.
1. Software glitched on Win2k; worked a few times then wouldn't rip but downloaded OK. Reinstalling on same OS, same system didn't help. Reinstalled on WinXP, same system, without problems for a day. I suspect this issue was unique to my system; not reported by anyone else. [More] Problem has reappeared on XP. May be only my system. Will contact Cowon. Meanwhile workaround is to use Jukebox (or any other ripper) to rip and IAudio to download.
2. Software version was 2.7 version. Downloaded newer 3.0 from website.
3. Installed firmware was current, version 3.51.
4. LCD screen/font is small. Boomers will need reading glasses.
5. Wish it used SD cards. Not sure if memory is upgradable. I would give it 5 stars if user upgradable.
6. Controls take some getting use to.
7. Works well with rechargable AAA battery. I used 750ma 1.2v batteries giving AT LEAST 5+ hours, not sure about exact number.
8. Supplied headphones are unusable for me. You are suppose to poke them into your ear but kept falling out.
9. FM reception has been excellent in Chicago area.
10. Apparently the MP3 audio quality is excellent, judging from other reviews. I believe there is room for improvement.
11. Somewhat disappointed there is no voice recording software provided such as Via Voice or Dragon. Would have given 5 stars if provided even at additional cost.
12. Plastic cover for USB plug is flimsy. This contrasts with an otherwise solid build.

Summary: This is the MP3 player you've been looking for
Review: I've been searching for an MP3 player for a few years now, and have held off due to the fact that I could not find all the features I wanted all in the same player at a reasonable cost. The moment I read about this little baby, combined with the reviews I read on various websites, particularly the reviews at Amazon, I knew this was the one to get, as I never saw so many 5 star reviews. I ended up purchasing the 256MB model. I was not dissapointed. Even after I saw pictures of it at the Jetaudio.com website, I was still shocked at the size when I pulled it out of the box. I figured out how to use it without the manual, it was so easy. The sound is terrific, the radio works great, as does the voice recorder. I loved the fact that I could just press a button and record any song I heard on the radio and then download it to the pc. I was also impressed by the fact that it came with all the accessories you could ask for, especially the nifty little belt case that most companies would charge an arm and a leg for. You can even use the mp3 player to store other types of files, which is very useful if you just want to use to use it as moveable storage. These guys really thought of everything, I would recommend this to anybody in a heartbeat.

Review: Since I'm not a techie I depended on the reviews I saw here to make my mp3 buying decision. This is my first mp3 player so you all had quite the influence on me. Well, they're right about the 5 stars. It is so small but gives all the volume and quality of sound you could dream for. The software is dummy proof for the most part. Downloading is a snap. The options for carrying are wonderful. For those of us that are fed up with wrist straps that are flimsy this is our relief. The arm band is great, the belt clip is very nice and the necklace thing is another nice option. So in summation...the quality is top notch, the sound is better than you can imagine, the ease of use is refreshing, the software is piece of cake, the price is more than reasonable for what you get. Can one say any more?

Summary: Almost perfect!
Review: Setup was simple and the product worked perfectly with Windows 2000. Very fast downloads as compared to using an MP3 player that relies on compact flash cards. Great sound quality and fairly good FM radio reception (better than my lyra2.) Player moves seamlessly between songs. Only downsides:
1. The software is not as useful and user friendly as MusicMatch
2. A couple of navigation buttons on the player are a little tricky to work. These are very minor downsides as compared to other players I have reviewed and tested. My RCA Lyra2 is a great player, but this one is far superior.

Summary: An Amazing Product
Review: I've always loved high-tech toys, and this has to be one of the best (and most useful) ones I've ever had. I'm in training for a marathon, and this is the perfect device. I keep three albums of up-beat music stored on it, and then record programs from the radio (usually NPR) to use on my longer runs. It holds four hours of music--more if you use a lower format than 128--and nineteen hours of voice / fm recordings. The sound quality is amazing, at least for MP3's. The FM radio is strong and clear, although the FM recordings are of a somewhat lower quality. It weights next to nothing, and the belt-clip is great. Since I use it while on the go, a neck-loop would be useless. The clip holds it well, and is barely noticeable. The unit really is tiny, but the display is clear and large enough to give all of the info you need. Admittedly, I do go through AAA batteries at a quick pace (it advertises nine hours, but recording eats power more than listening), but that is a small price to pay for this beauty. The software works well. You just put it on your computer and you are off and running (literally, in my case). Honestly, I can't imagine why anyone would buy just an MP3 player, when they could have an MP3 player that also has an FM reciever, and the ability to record FM radio (and voice).
