Summary: Piece of Junk
Review: This player stopped working right after the 3 months warrenty expires. I have not used it more than 10 times since I bought it. I used to believe Creative Labs was a reputable company. I cannot believe they sales this kind of junk.

Review: I bought this MP3 player as a graduation gift for my sister. We opened it and plugged it into the USB port and the computer deteched it fine. We then copied the MP3s to the memory and that's when the problems came up. Some kind of memory corruption occurred and the Muvo was in Recovery Mode. No problem I thought, I'm a Computer Engineer and I can figure it out. I went onto Creative Labs website, downloaded the latest drivers, performmed all the formatting instructions and the problem was still not fixed. The LED was not even lighting up meaning that there was a major hardware/communication problem going on. After fiddling all night on different operating systems I finally gave up. Creative Labs Tech support was pretty useful, they told me to return the item. I guess I should have known on an item with a warranty of 3 months- what a joke, a device that costs over [$$$] with a 3 month warranty. My particular Muvo could have been a dud, but after reading all the other reviews I doubt it is more than coincidence. Stay away from this thing, it still has tons of issues.

Summary: Built For Those Who Want It
Review: Don't discredit this incredible MP3 player!When I got mine for my birthday in April, of course it broke on the fourth time turning it on...just expect to wait two weeks instead of one for this player, (one week for the original, one for the replacement) and make sure to test it like crazy. leave it on through the nights, continually transfer music files (and any other files) on and off of it, and make sure that it breaks within your warranty, because it will break. You may not understand why I'm supporting a flaky product, but let me tell you that it's a REALLY GOOD flaky product. On the second or third try you will get a PERFECT Muvo, you just have to be patient, and believe me, it's worth it. Besides, the customer service is excellent anyway, so don't worry about slow email responses or mailing fees. just accept it as part of the process for this little treasure. This thing has INCREDIBLE sound (especially if its hooked up with Koss "The Plug" earphones, then it REALLY rocks), a simple user interface (the less buttons, the less things to break), and a really cool way to transfer files. Throw away the CD that comes with this...any modern PC recognizes it as a removable device in which you can simply drag and drop files window to window. And by the way, there are no cords--that little white piece slides out and plugs right in to the back of your computer...incredibly simple. Overall, this light-weight, high-quality, totally cool MP3 player goes only to those who deserve such a product, after all good things come to those who wait. Think of the extra weeks as a test, and only those who pass it get the benefits, just don't forget those Koss plugs! P.S. This MP3 player is really, really, cool...trust me.

Review: I was never able to get the battery life that the specs say (which is why I purchased this one).. Most of the time I got around 20 minutes.. I tried Lithium batteries but was worse.

Summary: This is the worst example of "quality". You've been warned!
Review: Good stuff out of the way first - yes, this player is super simple... and getting files onto it couldn't be easier. Also, it's cool that it will store any type of file (in fact, that's about all that remains cool about it). But that's where the good stuff ends. I ignored all the amazon comments about this player's poor reliability. I bought one. It stopped working after THREE DAYS. Support from creative has been horrible. It just gives up the ghost, and no amount of reformatting or cursing will help. Oddly, it keeps files just fine... so I now have a fine method for transfering files between machines. Alas, I could have bought a 128MB smartcard (or other media) for much cheaper. But no matter the idea that it transfers files, my muvo won't play music. Must be a problem in the interface between the two pieces of hardware... don't know; not my concern. THREE DAYS. That's it. Poof. Spend your money on something else!

Summary: Unreliable product - junk
Review: The idea behind the Muvo is great, but the execution stinks. I've owned two over the past 12 months, both of which simply stoped performing mid stream. I was able to get one replaced after numerous calls to tech support to figure out why the device simply would not play. We'd get it started, it would work for several weeks, then simply stop and refuse to play. There appear to be fundamental flaws in both the the design and production of this device. The hassle to keep it operating simply is not worth the effort. In short, this device is a piece of junk...

Review: The first day I got this I could not format the thing. First the LCD would not turn green or red which means it is not working in the first place and spent 4 hours trying to format/install/whatever but nothing worked...

Summary: Great design. Too bad it is not reliable
Review: I have owned many mp3 players and i can say that this unit sported by far the best design. Easy to transfer files, easy to use, light, etc. Combined with the armband it was a runners dream. Until it stopped working. No drop, no water, just pushed the power button after 4 months and nothing. Too bad.

Review: When my new Fujitsu laptop came with a free MuVo (64MB version), I was pretty happy that I got a super-compact MP3 player, even though I save most of my MP3/WMA files on my iPaq 1910 Pocket PC. But after one week of use, I was sorely disappointed with this poor-quality Korean-made product with the Creative Labs name. I've been a fan of Creative Labs ever since I replaced my dead AdLib sound card with a Creative over 10 years ago. Over the years I've been happy with their sound cards, so the poor quality of the MuVo came as a very sore disappointment for a loyal customer like myself. Let me tell you what happened. I loaded the MuVo with about 10 songs. I went on a short trip, and when I got off the plane, I found the files on the MuVo corrupted! It couldn't have been an airport X-ray scanner problem, since both my iPaq 1910 and my Panasonic e-wear camcorder are totally fine, no errors with their flash memory. I reformatted the MuVo and loaded a few new songs, but as I type this right now, one of them is corrupted and not playable. Since I got this free, I probably shouldn't whine, but judging from recent reviews of Creative Labs products posted here on Amazon, I don't think they are the same innovative, customer-friendly small company from Singapore any more.

Review: I like the ease of use it provides. It is truely plug'n play. However it does not have random play (not too many compact players offer that feature). Sometime the red light starts flashing for no reason.
