Summary: What a great device!!!
Review: I've never written a review for a product before, but I was so happy with my iRiver that I had to say a few words.
Not much bigger than a cigarette lighter, this little unit can do it all. It is engineered almost perfectly, with options that are intuitive and easy to learn and remember.
I use it in the gym, and it is perfect. I get about 2 hours of CD quality music on the iRiver. Downloaded with a USB cable, it takes much longer to pick out the music than the minutes it takes to load into the iRiver.
If you want something simple, yet advanced, get this machine.
So why did I give 4 stars and not 5???
Because the only engineering flaw I could find is the battery closure. It pops open way to easily. A little clear tape remedies this, but a small locking tab could have remedied this easily.
But don't let that stop you, this is a fantastic little device!

Summary: Price And Performance: A Good Buy
Review: I read LOTS of reviews from various sources, before I purchased this player. This was my second purchase of a portable MP3. I had a RIO and it wasn't quite what I was looking for. The IRiver is extremely light, portable, and concealable (It's easy to wear at work, with no one knowing). It's a sturdy unit with a clear lighted LCD screen and incredible battery life on 1 AA. Now my dislikes: The battery door seems a bit flimsy, and can be knocked open at times by accident. The voice recording is OK, but not good,(you can record off the radio too). Sound quality is good but the headphones are garbage (just invest in a better set). The small price you pay for this unit with all these features however, helps overcome these small gripes. A great buy.

Summary: NOT FOR VOICE RECORDING!!!!
Review: I assume this product works fine for mp3 playback as the other reviewers seem to indicate. However, I bought this specifically to record my sessions (I am a therapist) and it did an absolutely terrible job. You could only hear tiny distortions and this would be from approximately 3-4 feet away. So if you are looking for something to do voice recording I recommend the RipFlash Plus. It does an excellent job at voice recording although it also has a few challenges. Please see my review there.

Summary: Iriver MP3 is awesome
Review: I had this MP3 player for about a week now and this one is awesome. After reading reviews on other MP3 players like Rio MP3 player with FM tuner, they say the radio was bad the same thing with Archos MP3 player with FM tuner. So I look at JetAudio MP3 Player with FM tuner but Iriver MP3 player is cheaper than the JetAudio so I bought this instead.THis player is so small but rugged (durable), the sound is good and the FM tuners is great and features is loaded, packed and lotsa features. The LCD on this one is good, far better then than the sonicblue or creative lab MP3. This only thing I hate is that the ear phone that came with the player while it is a amazing earphone, it is big for my small ear and I not comfortable using it so I bought one of those Shure earphone on thier website. The software is easy to use too, drag and drop. The concept of this MP3 player is bad, pendant style is not good, they should have design it like those regular MP3 player where you put it on your belt. Iriver just posted new product images on thier website and their are cool, I'll buy iRiver products again.

Summary: Nice player, but pick up new earbuds.
Review: So far I'm quite happy with my first MP3 player. The player itself is everything that I expected. Its incredibly light and compact, and the on-screen menu system is very nice. The FM tuner is great if I decide I need a change of pace. The sound quality is impressive, and loading the songs on it was a piece of cake. It fits 2 hours of music @ 128 KBPS. I'm going to try later compressing some songs to 96, and compaying to the 128 to 96. If the difference is minimal I could probably get another 10-20 minutes out of it. My music collection is 160 songs (Around 700 megs @ 128) and growing right now, so I can change up the songs easily every night and have a new flavor everyday. The voice recorder didn't seem too high of quality- but I only tried it once, so don't take that as fact. The one problem is the ear buds that come with it- they would not stay in my ears at all. I've been using my bulky old ones so far, but hopefully next week I'll be able to buy some of the earbuds with that look around your ear. I can't figure out how anyone can get them to stay in.. ...

Summary: Great Little Gadget for Your $
Review: I bought this Mp3 player after looking at many reviews of other mp3 players. This one seemed to be the best deal and it was. Adding and removing songs was very easy as I used songs I had on my computer. Suprising, the drections were fairly clear and easy to read. I am very pleased with this gaget. You can listen to the radio, voice record, and listen to about 25 songs. My only minor complaints are I had a hard time keeping the headphones that came with the player in my ear. I did purchase other headphones and they work great. Any standard headphones work well. Also, it would be nice if a belt clip or an arm strap comes with the player as I use it while exercising. There is also no skipping over songs as I am running, as the player bumps against me constantly. Overall, I am very pleased with this mp3 player and I recomend it to anyone.

Review: 1st off Ive had 4 mp3 players previous to this one(It doesnt matter what brands,3RIO's,NIKE)they dont even come close to this one,Its loaded with features,LOADED,an has incredible battery life,the only bad I see is that it doesnt need the neck strap attachment and for me thats it.Finally a mp3 player that does what it says,you can upgrade the firmware as well as its media manager an drivers an the fm tuner is a huge plus,just buy it. Iriver has proven to be the best!!!!

Summary: my review for the iriver 180T
Review: This is my first mp3 player and i enjoy the quality that this device puts out. There is an eq mode where you can select diffrent types of play modes or set your own. There also a fm tuner that gets good reseption. Also included is a digital voice recorder that has a very good pickup range, better tham most recording equipment. This part alows you to record fm to the player if you want to. The softwhere is extremly easy to use but the preset softwhere does not allow for the adjuting the playlist order, but you can download the updated softwhere from the website for free. For those who use cdr/rw to make mixes that only hold 80 minutes this is your friend, it can hold over 2 hours of music. The only other setback is that you can not copy cd's directly to the player because they com in as cda format, but if you have windows media 9 this is not a problem for can copy from cd to pc/laptop for convinence. This player that runs on only 1 AA batery puts out more life than the most up to date cd payer. Also it doesn't skip. Have fun with this outstanding toy for music lovers.
