Summary: Superb mp3 player
Review: I just got this stuff 2 days ago. this player is very great! a lot better than muvo. I like the light-weight design and it also has a large split LCD. The sound quality is very nice, crisp and clear. But I feel that the earbud is slightly too big, but its vary though from people to people. Fm tuner also works very great, they give 6 preset for you to keep the memory. It has nice receiver. Menu is not too user friendly though, but you can get comfortable just in few minutes.
Overall this is the best portable mp3 player i ever know.
Get one, and you wont regret it!!

Included ear buds are totally useless and built for elephant size ears, you'll need to use another headphone. No expansion capability Need a USB charger if you travel (these are about $10) I have used Rio MP3 players in the past (original MP300 parallel port, RioOne, S35S), but this is more functional.

Summary: Great Player/Radio/USB drive, but...
Review: I ordered this great little player as a birthday gift to myself. It's outstanding except for one problem - The firmware is the unit as shipped was buggy! In version 1.04.3, any interrupted transfer to the device causes it to malfunction! I looked up the Creative support forum and dozens of people reported the same problem, namely a complete lockup of the unit and subsequent inability to "boot" it... My first unit failed after about fifteen minutes of playing with it, loading files, etc. Needless to say, I was distressed. Turns out YOU MUST UPDATE THE FIRMWARE as soon as you get it recharged. Another point I must strongly emphasize is that YOU MUST "EJECT" THE DEVICE under Windows BEFORE DISCONNECTING IT. I'm happy to report that firmware version 1.05.1 is much better and that I have not "crashed" since updating to it. I'm really enjoying it! I love this product and would give it 5 stars were it not for the buggy firmware that shipped with it. Cheers!

Summary: Simple and problem-free
Review: I purchased this product over a week ago and experienced no problems at all with it. The printed manual is sparse, but the device itself is not difficult to use. As soon as it fully charged, I was listening to mp3s. Works well with different bitrate mp3s also. The voice/radio recording function is pretty cool, too. I was torn between the Muvo NX and this device, but in the end chose this one because of the additional FM tuner and the lower price point. In another review it was said that files in different directories are not playable, but I have had no problems organizing music files into additional folders and playing them. I was stuck 3 hours in an airport and used it the whole time, and still had 90% charge left when I got home.

Summary: Don't buy this Product !!!!
Review: I read the reviews on the Internet the same way you are reading now. When I went to the store I have been misled by the salesman. He told me that the creative is a great brand and no one returned the product so far. He told me " if it was a bad product creative would have taken it of the shelf by now". I bought the product and it stop working after TWO DAYS" not responding at all. I talked to the customer support and they ask me to send the product to them. It takes along..... time to get it back believe me I havent got the mine yet.

Summary: Great little MP3--if it would stay working
Review: I really liked this little (very little and light) mp3 player. After reading reviews here, I knew to update the firmware, which I did. I liked the software that came with it--very easy to use. The same day I received it, the screen stopped working, but then after an hour or two, I checked it again, and it was working again. Stayed working for almost a week, in which time I filled it up with songs. It was a great little player. Once I got all the songs in, I turned it on and the screen went through some error messages. The "help" documentation on the CD was no help at all. I got a few ideas from the Creative web site, which got me new error screens, but I never could get my computer to recognize it again. Creative was going to have me pay for shipping to return it, but luckily Amazon recognizes that customers should be valued. I'm trying to decide whether I'll order another one or try another brand. I was surprised at how quickly I filled up 256 MB, so maybe I'll look for one with a larger capacity.

Summary: Watch Out!!!
Review: I received my new Rhomba, and was all excited to open it and try it out. I open it and go through the quick setup guide and plug it into a USB port on my pc so it can charge up. As I am waiting for the unit to charge I start reading through the manual and come across the following message... The cables that come with this unit contain LEAD which has been shown to cause CANCER and it is strongly suggested that you wash your hands after every time you touch them....Say What???!!!! I fired off an email to Creative asking them to provide a little more clarity on this statement with no response. Needless to say I am returning the unit.

Summary: "no software needed"
Review: In constrast to the other viewers - I didn't do very much research. I bought the Rio Cali. It turns out you cant just drag a few directories of music on a drive letter and have the player recognize the directory structure in the form of some sort of "playlist". You have to make them manually. So my attitude became - I don't care, I just want to drag a few directories and be able to see the directory names. So this Creative one advertises on the box "no software needed". You open box and the directions for transfer files has as the first step to "insall software". But alas, all is well - you don't have to install software. It comes up as drive letter in explorer. One can drag directories. But directories deeper than root are not playable. It fits my criteria - I like it. BAD THINGS - I wish it took AA or some sort of replacable battery - Thinking of bringing the power wires out through the case - for auxillary battery pack I could glue on back. Additionally, there is a buzz that is heard when switching between modes.

Summary: This has already increased my stress
Review: Jan 8: I opened it up, glanced at what I thought was the first page of the instruction manual and plugged this thing in. I think I permanently messed it up because I then noticed in the middle of the cover of the instruction manual it says in all caps "warning do not plug device in until you install software."
Oh well so much for my Rhomba. Now I have to figure out what to do next. What a piece of junk. *** Jan 12: OK-I let the battery drain, then plugged it in the next day and got it to work. Then when I finally figured out how to get songs transferred to it, I couldn't get them to play. I finally realized the problem was that I had copied them in a folder rather than directly. Bottom line, now that it works I really like it. But it is a pain and the documentation sucks. Not user friendly to set up, but awesome once it is working. Now I need more memory....

Review: just for the record: last day off my vacation in mexico and i dived into the Carraibean with my digital camera into my pocket :) (don't ask why) and althogh the camera is now mearly scrap (pentax optio s) the memory card works fine and i didn't lost any of my vacation photos with would have been a lot worse - so SD cards are water proof and salt water proof :)
