Summary: 1 year and still enjoying!
Review: I bought this unit to make my training much less boring. I race bicycles for a living and decided my mini-disc player was just not cutting it any more. I researched it like crazy and eventually landed on this one because of the positive reviews, small size and FM radio (for when I get tired of the 256mb music on longer rides). I have yet to be dissappointed. The transfer time through the USB cable is short enough so I can change playlists on a whim before training. It is so small it takes up no space in my jersey pocket. I decided to wait so long before rating it to see if the battery life claims, reset issues and other slight problems I had read about came true. They did not. Buy one of these little guys with confidence, and although I hear they have a 512mb version now, I have been on 5 -6 hour training rides regularly with this and only barely start the playlists over. 512 would be great for two days of training, or skiing or just about anything. Great product. Beware....mp3's only though, which was no problem for me and I knew ahead of time....

Summary: Incredible package and sound.
Review: I am so pleased with this product. The interface is intuitive and simple and the sound is phenomenal for such a small MP3 player. The one thing that really "wow-ed" me was the contents of the package, including: a high-quality arm-band to hold the player while working out, a set of nice earbuds, a belt buckle holster for the player, JetAudio CD with JetAudio Shell and Multimedia Player, and a USB cable. I recently bought a USB HP All-in-One printer that did not even come with a USB cable, yet this little player from an unknown manufacturer (COWON) did. Amazing. I am very pleased with this product in every way and I highly recommend it.

Summary: Hate to bring bad news...
Review: ...but after reading all of the glowing reviews, I decided to purchase the 256 MB version. I received it within 4 days, and it was super easy to install and begin using. I basically purchased the player to use while I run, and after 3 days of use, I absolutely loved the thing. The sound is amazing, it is incredibly small, the memory is way more than I need, and it is surprisingly easy to use. Even the radio reception is much better than my old walkman, and I didn't even plan on using the radio too much.

Well, maybe I bought the lemon, but on day 4, the thing stopped working. It still powered up, but the player had dumped all its memory, and I couldn't upload any songs...it didn't recognize its flash memory. So, I had to mail the product back, and the company would either fix it or replace it. Customer service was very helpful, (...), I wouldn't figure I'd have to have it serviced within a few days. I'll update my review after the repair/replace process is complete.

***UPDATE: due to the shenanigans discussed above, I don't think I can honestly give this a 5-star rating, but it's the only thing holding me back. I had to pay a few bucks to ship the product back, and within 3 days, I had the player fully repaired, and back in action. I've been running with it for about an hour at a time for the last 3 months, and it is phenomenal!!! As with most headphones, if you use this to run or excercise with, chances are you might have to shop around until you find phones that are compatible with your ears (to keep them from falling out when you move your head). If I have any other problems, I'll promptly give an update, but as of now, I am very satisfied and have no regrets.

Summary: great product until it malfunctioned
Review: When it's working right, this is a great product. Good sound, good reception on the radio, easy to upload songs. However, within 3 months of purchasing, my player malfunctioned, and got worse and worse. It always wanted to record or erase files. I will not buy another one of these players as I don't trust the quality.

Summary: Can't store enough tracks in it
Review: I did not realize you can only store 28 tracks onto a 128 MB mp3 player. I am disappointed in that; I thought you could load up to 50 tracks at least. Otherwise, the sound quality is great, it is super compact, no problem there.

Summary: Great little MP3 player
Review: The CW200 is a great MP3 player for use when exercising, working around the house, and such. Very durable - have dropped it several times (in its case) with no problem. Sound quality is very good, although I'm not usually listening to it in a critical environment.

The recording feature works well. It did a surprisingly good job of recording a choir rehearsal in a church sanctuary. Recordings are created in SC4 format which is easily converted to WAV format with the supplied software.

My only minor complaint is the quality of the tuner. On weak stations it will occasionally lose the station and it is necessary to tune to another station and back to reacquire.

Summary: Still loving it....
Review: Just wanted to add to my December 2002 review....I use this player everyday and it still works like a charm. Performance is excellent and I have amazed just about everybody I know that has seen and messed with it. One minor criticism after 10 months of enjoyable listening...I am ditching the earbuds that came with the unit. They sound great but the uneven cord (shorter on one side) is awkward. I have at least twice pulled them out of my ears while listening and moving around. They sound great but the cord is annoying. Other than that I can only say if you haven't got one you're missing out. While there is now competition on the market in the feature set I don't feel I jumped too soon or am missing anything now. My only wish is for maybe a 512 MB version of this or the newer CW300. Ciao!!!

Summary: iAUDIO CW200 256 MB MP3 Player with FM Radio and Voice Recor
Review: The software is incompatible with all other software. I have to load each disk individually (eventhough I have them already on my computer). It's very annoying and time consuming and the web site provides little to no help. I don't understand how anyone can say this is an easy product to work.

I will say, however, that the sound quality is very good.

Summary: iAudio: Incredible.
Review: I've owned two different model Rios that are junk compared to this. Radio, voice recording (and uploading), good Windows app support, outstanding audio quality, tiny/small, good RAM (note, I have the 256MB model), and great battery life. The only reason I still use my iPod is for size issues.

Summary: Very Satisfied
Review: Perfect for running!! It's small, cute, the sound is awesome. I love that I can listen to the radio or MP3. The small size is great to take on airline travel as well. The battery doesn't last incredibly long but it's still worth it - it's not difficult or expensive to replace one AAA battery!
