Summary: OUTSTANDING but go for the 390T
Review: The IFP-390T is the 256mb replacement for the 190T. Available so far only at Best Buy for $... All the benefits of the 190 but even better sound quality and fm reception it seems. Just wish it hand an expansion slot. I subject mine to daily training runs and it takes the abuse. The arm band holder is also a nice touch.

Summary: Great Product, Superb Audio Quality
Review: I just recently bought this product and am simply stunned by its excellent sound quality, ease of use, and size. When listening to my favorite music i feel like I am actually at a concert. I love to take my mp3 player skiing and biking, running etc. because of its incredibly compact size, and the fact that it runs on 1 AA battery for over 12 hours! This is definitely one purchase that i am glad i made and urge others to make as well.

Summary: it's perfect, and just what i was looking for!
Review: amazon never lets me down.. i absolutely love this mp3 player. despite its lightness and compact size, it does have enough memory for me. i listen to the music both in mp3 and wma format. very easy to operate unless you are a complete dummy when it comes to a recent technology... the neck lace is convenient except for when i'm walking in the park, it swings around my neck. during excercise, i'd rather put it in a pocket or hold it in my hand. but it's no big deal.. highly recommand!

Summary: Great in his class
Review: Great product in its class.

Nice sound, very good FM reception easy controls with a grat joystick type with multi functions.

Eraphones just so so in confortable matter, al least it is small to carry.

Battery must be Alkaline to last otherwise it will not last as long as said in other reviews.

Very compact and good feeling in your hands altought looks a liitle bit cheap because of the plastic at the bottom.

Very Very light, it is incredible how light it is. WEight less than the AA battery.

Very good in transfer files other than MP3 between computers. Very handy feature.

Not 5 stars just because of a lack an armband or something to carry in a easier way.

If you want something to gym, ski, sports, travel etc.. this is one of the best options. 256M is enough for about 65 songs, very compact, very good sound, FM, voice recorder etc... make it a very strong product in ts class.

Go and get it !

If you need something to store all your MP3 songs and play at home via a receiver, you should try other type of product like Ipod and Creative Zen.

Do not forget: This is for the moving people !

Summary: Tried several, this is by far the best!
Review: We tried several MP3 players and took them all back until we settled on the iriver. The software works well with XP and installed exactly as the instructions said. It is true that management software isn't feature loaded... but it works and is relatively simply.

This player is feature rich and they all work well. I really don't have a problem navigating the menus. It has a big screen for its size and displays tags.

I only have 2 wishes for this unit 1. some sort of arm band case and 2. It is too easy to accidently record the radio (It's true, this does happen and is frustrating).

My wife runs several miles with this player every morning and it holds up like a champ. The batteries last a long time and 256MB is enough memory for almost a whole marathon if you use maximum compression wma files.

I rarely write reviews unless I feel strongly about something. This player is great and well worth the money. If you are considering a player in this catagory, put the iriver on your short list.

Summary: The best MP3P, but you should wait for NEW IFP-300 Series!!
Review: New ifp-300 series came out in Korea now... Maybe in a month or later, it would be stocked and you will be available to purchase it.

With new variable features like Direct encoding (line-in recording with MP3 formatting), beutiful blue backlit LCD
with more attractive design, and Xtream EQ which is 5-Band DSP User Equalizer with 24 hour playback!!

Of course it has FM Tuner, FM recording, voice recording with higher quelity, 4 line lcd with navigation mode to select songs you want easily. It's the best MP3P what i've seen!!
Greatly recommand!

Iriver's user feedback service is really good. They impress me.
With the firmware upgrading, you can also use some of new features like XtreamEQ in ifp-100 series!

Someone told the management program isn't good, but the new version of management program will be released with new features and more comfortable interface.

Most of all, with a firmware upgrading in may, you are able to use your mp3p like a removable disk!! just putting the USB port on your PC! without driver install and management program! It's incredible!

I hope those informations are helpful to you..;)
(i'm sure those informations are more accurate coz i'm from Korea and I heard it from Iriver..lol)

Summary: Great. Just a few weak spots.
Review: This is a nice little unit with the right amount of memory (read: the most currently available - more is always better). Very portable and great bang for the buck. My only nits and comments (keep in mind this is coming from a typical techno-geek):

1) As others have said, it should at least come with some kind of rudimentary case. I mean, come on. Put a case in there and charge me five bucks more.

2) They seemingly put very little effort into the software. There are many convenience features they could have added in order to facilitate file management but instead you are just going to get enough to get files on and off the player. Period.

3) It is difficult to have many functions only a few controls, and iRiver did a pretty good job in this area. Unlike some, I think their programming is just a little counterintuitive but that is no big deal if you take some time to learn.

4) It is a little too easy to unintentionally slide open the battery door and dump the battery wherever.

5) As others have said, you will be chucking the ear buds right away and going for something designed for a normally shaped and sized ear.

You could generate similar gripes about any of the competing units I am sure, but if iRiver could address these issues they could even have a bigger winner - maybe when the 512Mb version comes out.

Summary: Great sound quality, lots of memory, compact, worth your $
Review: I loved this Mp3 player!
Pros: Its very compact and lightweight, its not hard to setup and get music on to, it has great sound quality, it has a lot of memory, it has easy to use controlls.
Cons: It feels a little bit cheap, Its program on the computer has no drag and drop features wich can make organizing your music difficult and confusing, the headphones are uncomfortable.
I really like this product I would have given it 5 stars if its program was easier to organize.

Summary: Product does not Support Windows Media Playlists
Review: I bought this brought because it played WMA files and had 256 MB of Storage. Unfortunately, there is no support of Windows Media Player and I had to use the included software to load files. Not very practical (at least for me). I ended up returning it and getting the SonicBlue RIO S50. The S50 worked like I expected but only has 128 MBs of Storage.

Summary: Why buy this...wait for iFP-300 and smile!
Review: By end of April 2003 the iFP-300 (dubber "the Craft") will be shipping so I'm waiting...why buy this or the 180 or 195 when the 300 will have blue background, record MP3s from ANY source (line in) and have a better audio sound and better FM tuning.
