Rating: Summary: Designed for portability?????? Review: I bought this printer with the intention of using it when traveling via plane, train or automobiles, what a concept eh?The darn thing does not come with a battery!!!!!!!! You have to order it seperately. What idiotic marketing genius thought of this configuration plan? One other thing is that you must have a flat surface for the paper to land on when it is ejected. I have had it on a car seat and the ejected paper landed on the floor, ink side down of course, and smeared. A catcher of some sort would be very helpful. Also, be prepared to change cartridges from color to b/w often. A true pain, (or waste VERY expensive color cartridges for basic correspondence).
Rating: Summary: Not Road Ready Review: If you travel by plane, this is not the printer you want. After 4 - 5 trips in a well packed piece of checked luggage, the sheet feeder mechanism will not feed paper. The printer still prints fine, but you must manually feed one sheet at a time. After several HP warranty exchanges, all printers ended in this same condition. I love HP products -- but this one is a real dog!
