Review: The print quality for text is decent, speed is excellent, the price for ink is unbeatable. But surely it's not a photo printer(don't expect for this price). The bad thing is it's very noisy, I set it to quiet mode but it's still loud, it periodically screams no matter you print or not, and shakes the table. I wonder why Cannon put that much power for a small printer?
My old printer was a Lexmark Z25, it's an ink hog and catridge is 3 times more than the Cannon. So I can live with all the noise.

Review: The text and graphics that you get with this printer are impressive. (Most people will think the output is from a color laser printer.) But what makes this printer a revolution is that you get this kind of quality for such an amazingly low price. It works so much better in every way than the more expensive Epson I had before. And this is probably just personal taste, but I love its printing sound!

Review: This is a cute little printer but I can't say much about performance...the paper feeder on mine was completely defective. The paper feeder didn't move at all and I just emailed Amazon.com to return it. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Review: this is a phenomenal printer for the price....photo quality printing for under $...amazing....not only that, ....the bundled software is excellent. I have one at home, bought 4 more for friends, and a dozen of them for the office...all are working great....strong recommendation here! All A's!!

Review: This is a wonderful printer. I am a college student, bought this because it was cheap (fourty-five dollars). The USB works fine, the speed is fine. the quality is wonderful (for text, i didn't try out the photo settings). It not that loud. Cool feature is that you can remotely turn it off (but not on). The ink cartridges are cheap (around seven). So what more does one need? 10 ppm draft, 7 ppm normal. more than acceptable. This is great printer for just about anyone, and at this price!, it's a steal. Plus, Canon has a no-hassle exchange policy for a year. Great printer!

Review: This is is the ONLY bad product I've bought from Amazon in three years of shopping. What's worse, I CANNOT fathom the preponderance of positive reviews!! I've been working with computers and printers for eleven years -- so forget about my ignorance. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing. This thing has not accepted a SINGLE sheet of 20-lb. plain paper. Not a single sheet! I don't what's going on with all these great reviews?! Are they using magic paper? This thing is going back into the box, back to Amazon. I want my money back. One good thing, Amazon has always treated me right -- five stars for customer service.

Summary: Good for the pice.
Review: This printer is a steal for the price i got it (30 bucks after rebate). The quality is about the same as the other printers in its class. Ive only printed on regular paper, so i cant comment on the photo capabilities. Another plus is that the ink is extremely cheap compared to hp or epson. Others claimed that speed was slow, but on plain paper it wasnt bad. Now to the bad sides. THIS PRINTER IS EXTREMELY LOUD!! I makes noise when u turn it on, makes more noise when you print, and when u turn it off it also makes a bunch of noise. You will definitely wake someone up if you print at night. Also, no cable provided. No biggie since almost all other companies dont supply cables, and they only cost 6 bucks online. Lastly the stupid installation cd didnt recognize its own printer. When I chose to manually installed it, USB wasnt even an option. What I did was install it as a LPT1 printer then change it to USB in win xp control panel. Lots of downsides with this printer, but at the price I got it for I can live with them. I dont think this printer may be worth it once the rebate is gone though.
