Rating: Summary: Canon i475D a great printer, a great buy Review: About three months ago I bought an HP photo printer which was fairly well rated. I was somewhat disappointed in the quality of prints from my digital camera and wondered whether my 3 megapixel camera would ever produce great photos at home. Several weeks ago Buy.Com offered these printers for $39; I couldn't resist temptation and bought one. Having now printed more than 100 photos, I'm not thinking I need to go somewhere to get my photos printed. Forget HP and high ink prices. My Canon 475D produces exceptional photos and the ink is cheap; I just bought 2 black and 2 color replacement ink cartridges for around $19; and I'm only about 60% through my original cartridges. I'd buy another one of these in a hearbeat, great value.
Rating: Summary: Do not look elsewhere! Review: Buy this printer now! I can't say enough about how incredibly good this baby performs, and for less than $100! You basically get a printer with the specifications and features of a machine that would normally run $200+. The ability of direct printing via memory cards, and print resolution that rivals most high-end printers make this a no-brainer.My only issue is with this listing, i wish Amazon would be a bit more competitive with their price.
Rating: Summary: Canon printers rock! Review: I bought this in a fit of dispair after yet another battle of errors with my hideously expensive Epson printer-copier-scanner. The print quality on the Canon is just as good, and the function is better, as the Epson would take either no pages or 5 pages at once. And for all that the quality is good, Canon's not a ink-drinker, either.
It's quick; it's quiet; it's compact; the quality is great. If you need a good printer at an Ab-Fab price, this is it.
I've had a Canon portable for 5 years, and, even with hard foreign travel, it also works perfectly.
I'm never buying any printer but a Canon! Never.
Rating: Summary: Most Bang for the Buck Review: I got it a couple days ago and have been printing some 4/6s and 8/10s ,going through the easy photo with little adjustment, the pictures from a piddly 2.0 Fuji were just outstanding. Not having the multitank ink cartridges is no big deal, ink is cheap enough.Plenty of good printers out there for the money, but having owned a standard Lex printer,an Epson 88onaither of which I was happy with.It was a toos up with American made H/P and Canon.
Rating: Summary: I'm in love! Review: I have fallen in love with this printer! It is extremely easy to set up and use, and it comes with all kinds of extras. And the photo print quality is just amazing! NO MORE BUYING PRINTS!!!! It prints out all sizes. And wow is it ever quiet...I had to go look to see if it was done printing cause I couldn't tell! EXCELLENT printer!
Rating: Summary: LOVE IT!!!!! Review: I upgraded to this printer, from cannon 4400, was good deal on this printer, only takes 2 brands of ink, color 24 and black, very, very good in pictures, and I dont have to wait to download my pictures anymore, from kodak software that takes forever, and sometimes kodak softweare dosent work right.
But this has picture bridge to put in pictures straight from your camera, or the way I do it now, is faster, with your memory card, and only takes 3 seconds to download. take out memory card after taking pictures and you only have to touch one button, 3 seconds to download. hurray,, hurray, Excellant printer and photo printer as well. great buy and I got for half price from 3 party seller from Iowa. thanks again if you read this...
Rating: Summary: much more than i expected! Review: i was looking for a photo printer that takes the memory stick directly with a price less than $100. Using Amazon's reviews i located a similar Canon printer (there were no reviews of this model yet) and, based on price, selected the i475D. WOW! The prints are great, which is the first consideration for me. Crisp, clean, true in color, in short, everything i hoped for when i decided to start doing my own prints. Yesterday i printed six 8x10s and two dozen 4x6s and the ink gauge shows that i still have half a tank. All these photos are from my digital camera, yet there is no way that i can tell that they didn't come from my beloved Canon SLR, and i am VERY picky. i also printed an 8x10 b&w from a scan, and this printer corrected flaws that my other printer simply couldn't. The software and documentation are first-rate. There are two manuals, one a quick-and-dirty and the other more detailed, and they complement each other. The printer software is intuitive and easy, and it dovetails seamlessly with my favorite viewer, IrfanView. And there is plenty of capacity for playing with the settings to get specific effects if that's something a person is interested in doing. The convenience of printing precisely which shots and the number i need is well worth the rather minimal cost of getting set up with a photo printer, especially considering the time that i don't spend fooling around with making reprints at the photo store. i recently took candids at a wedding and used this printer to make sets of prints especially for each set of friends without all the bother of getting the film developed, selecting the prints and quantities, then trekking to the shop for reprints. i'm moved to write this review because of all the times i've been burned with electronic equipment and because of all the assistance i've gotten from Amazon product reviews. This is one product that has everything i expected and a good deal more. i'm going to be happy with this printer for a very long time.

Rating: Summary: Why This Is A Printer You Will Never Regret Purchasing Review: I've owned a lot of printers - inexpensive Lexmarks to $1500+ Epsons - and this little printer is my all time favorite. Here's why I think it will be yours...
1) Price of printer - incredibly low price, that won't make you kick yourself when a better printer comes out.
2) Price of materials - this is a HUGE advantage in the long run; the ink carts are about half the price of some other printers.
3) Photo quality output - everyone who sees the print quality is blown away. It's very photographic from any decent digital camera.
4) Built in multiformat card reader - save a USB cable, it reads everything.
5) Print without the computer - I've been at the in-laws and made prints in the car (with a power adaptor) of pictures I'd raken five minutes earlier.
6) Great text printing - it's not just a photo printer, it's a regular old printer type printer, too. Fast, high quality.
7) Actually good bundled software - the software that many manufactuers include is often a joke, but not so here. Easy Photo Print and Easy Web Print are both useful, well done pieces of software that I use all the time.
8) Lots of paper choices - Canon has a full line of photo paper.
I've had friends see photos from this printer, ask me a few questions, and go and buy one right away. It's a tremendous addition to anyone's computer / digital photography toybox.
Rating: Summary: great prints but Review: its a great printer with all of the above comments but I hate the fact that it crops my pics automatically(and can't be stopped) when I pick borderless. AND when I pick bordered the borders are big and chunky. And all the unneccesary software? God.
BUT the prints are unbelievable, provided that you use very high quality high gloss photo paper(like what is provided with the printer).
