Summary: terrible software
Review: I am an HTML designer and familiar with a wide variety of authoring and design software...and I had fits with the MEMOREX labelmaker software...just creating a text field made my computer (a pentium 3, windows 98 Dell) lock up...I hated it. I was control/alt/deleting all night... Finally, I uninstalled it and created my own templates in Freehand. This product is a waste of money and a joke. Who the heck developed this software?

Summary: Good Ideas, But Incredibly Buggy Software
Review: I really like the labels, the inserts, the label applicator, and even the intended functionality of the software. In fact, I've made some truly awesome stuff with this product! However, there is very little documentation for this product, and, thus, you are almost completely left to figure it out for yourself (though it's not terribly hard to figure out). It is, also, the most "buggy" piece of software I think I've ever bought! I like the labels, etc. that I can create with it, and, thus, I still use it quite a bit. However, you have to be prepared to shut down the program, Windows, and, possibly, even the entire computer every few minutes that you use this product. In fact, most of the time, you have no choice, as it will completely lock up your computer on a regular basis. It, also, gives frequent [program-type] error messages! So, this software (though it provides great functionality) is very buggy...

Summary: Excelent software and very impresive labels
Review: I used the Memorex machine and I think that I produce very impresive labels for my CD's. The software is excellent. It doesn't have documentation but I think it's very intuitive. The labels are cheaper and you get 3 CD-RW and 3 CD-R for free with the package. With a little time that you invest with the software you will be making very nice labels in a few hours.

Summary: Buggy software gets the job done...if you're patient
Review: I've installed this software on two different computer systems--a Compaq Presario w/ Windows 98 followed by my upgraded custom w/ Windows 2000--and the Memorex CD LabelMaker software did not really get along with either computer. The biggest frustration by far is the random crashing of the software program. I quickly learned to save my work every couple of minutes to avoid losing my progress when the inevitable freeze-up would occur. This problem would happen at least once per project, and as of yet I've been unable to find any downloadable software updates that address the issue. That being said, the software *does* accomplish what I need it to do...when it works. I like the format just fine and haven't had too much trouble manipulating the images and text with the tools they provide. I'm not 100% pleased with the way the text box works--this seems to be an area that causes the most crashes, by the way--but I can usually make it look at least OKAY with some focused diligence. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably try another product. Or at least do some more research before I bought this. I find the buggy nature of the software to be maddening, but it's not so wretched that I'm going to replace it anytime soon. My rating would go up significantly to *4 STARS* if it didn't crash so much!!

Review: I've owned a CD-Writer for years now and to be fair to this product from Memorex , I could never exploit the true potential of the device without proper labelling on my CD's , this thing is ridiculously simple and yet very efficient in its job. A wonderfull mix of goodies coming your way too. I would recommend it to everyone who ownes a writer " MUST BUY ".

Review: The mechanical device employed to transfer the labels onto the CD's is great. The problem is the software is almost impossible to use if you're not a heavey desktop publisher. I've been unable to figure out how to use the software and the online help is useless. A real disappointment.

Summary: Memorex CD LabelMaker Deluxe Kit
Review: The product was very easy to use and it is way better advance than other cd label maker that i have bought. The only thing that is wrong with this label kit is that it slows my computer down and software runs very slow at times.
