Rating: Summary: This is the way to go Review: Don't let the price fool you, this is worth lots more. Solid performance, good speed, sweet features...don't go for any other. I've used the works, Panasonic etc. this is the best. What a price!
Rating: Summary: A good laser printer > $200?!? Review: This printer is amazing. For under...who would have ever thought you could get a functional very fast, and high quality output laser printer. Driver installation was a snap under 2k. The only downside to this printer is that it doesn't print out in color. In any case, if color is a big deal to you, but this printer, and a box of crayons (probably the big box from crayola).
Rating: Summary: Awesome printer, awesome price. Review: If you're planning on buying a black & white printer, buy this one. No need to worry about looking for anything else. You'll pay much more and be lucky if you get the same quality.
Rating: Summary: Best Bang for the Buck Review: I bought an HP 920C and while putting in the cartridge the caddy broke. So I returned it and was shopping for a different printer. Then reading my PC World magazine I saw that they gave great raves for this particular printer. So I went on the net and did more research on Cnet and indeed this printer was highly rated by the Cnet reviewer (Editor's Choice) and by other users. I found that CompUSA was the only retailer with this in stock so I rushed out and bought one the same day. And I don't regret it at all. This printer performs like a [price] Laserjet and costs only [price]. It's fast and has great quality. And it's compatible with Mac, Windows 9x/2000 and even Linux. I'd recommend this to everybody!
Rating: Summary: As usual Samsung has heightened the bar! Review: I only recently became aware of Samsung and their amazing array of products. Since then I have purchased almost all of my consumer electronics from them, including TVs, Computer monitors, and a DVD player. All of these products have exceeded my expectations and have all been by far the least expensive in the marketplace. Despite all this, I must say that the ML-1210 may be the best value yet. I have experienced no trouble after 1 month and the price on the printer is incredible. This printer does exactly what I wanted from a laser, it prints large volumes of text pages very quickly. Samsung continues to prove that paying for the name Sony, HP, Motorola, etc is becoming less and less neccesary because they offer superior or equal products at a huge savings.
Rating: Summary: What A Steal Review: I almost bought the HP 1200 THANK GOD I DIDN'T.This printer is worth twice as much.None of the stores in my area carry this printer yet.I hate buying anything I can't see or test. So after many hours of researching and reading customer reviews I ordered it online.Setup took less than 10 minutes.Don't let the 600x600 dpi fool you.I went to office max and printed a sample out on the HP 1200 (1200x1200 dpi laser). I was not impressed.it also costs 399.This samsung blows the HP 1200 away. This laser printer is simply AWSOME.Don't let the price and dpi's fool you.I know it's hard to belive that a 189 dollar laser printer could be that good well BELIEVE IT DON'T BE FOOLED I ALMOST WAS.I f you don't believe me go to CNET and read the review. This baby "ROCKS"
Rating: Summary: Great Value and Excellent Output! Review: After reading a couple of reviews and user opinions for the ML-1210, I decided to give it a try. The printer was simple to setup/install on my Wind 98SE machine. I then ran several print tests and could not believe the quality of the output on this inexpensive laser. Plus, the machine is quiet and adequately fast enough. The print driver also has some nice options. I noticed the cheap plastic tab that supports the front panel when replacing the toner cartridge but this is no big deal. How many times will the panel be opened? Only to clear a paper jam or to replace the cartridge but the cartridge is rated for about 2500 pages so that is not too frequently. I would not hesitate to print any document on this printer - including my resume. BusinessWeek recently ran an interesting article on Samsung - the company's aim is to become an elite brand. This further reassured me that this printer was a quality product. Why spend twice (or more) the price when this printer is up to the task?
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Value!!! Review: This is clearly the best value on the market. It has outstanding text and graphics quality, it has more than decent document speed, is both Mac and Win compatible, and it is less than $200!!! Cnet gives this printer 9 out 10. Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: Paper feeder stopped working ... Review: I have the same problem as the people above said. The paper feeder stopped working after less than 3 years. Guess it's a common problem for this model. Which you won't know until 2-3 years later.
Rating: Summary: So so printer until it stopped being able to load paper Review: I am burying this Samsung ML-1210 printer today, after failing to resuscitate it. It seems that it is unable to load paper. I checked the online faqs, followed the instructions, but, alas, to no avail. My previous laser printer was an HP and it cost 5 times as much and lasted only about twice as long.
This Samsung lasted under 3 years. The price was right, but the toner was expensive and not available from other sources. The paper feeder has been the weakest link. No wonder they don't warranty these things past 12 months.
