Rating: Summary: Expensive and short-life consumables Review: The printer itself is great and has reasonable price. BUT, the toner cartridges and drum unit run out much more faster than the printer configuration page promises. In my case the drum unit should last for 45.000 printouts, real number was 17.000!!! The price for such component was nearly half of the original price of the printer!!! The service staff explained me the printouts numbers were calculated for 6% printed area/page. My advice: Keep eyes wide open for consumables prices!
Rating: Summary: Excellent color laser! Review: This is a very good color printer! It's a bit noisy when compared to an inkjet or even b&w laser but the print quality is excellent. On plain paper (which is what you should use) it is much better than an inkjet for color output. However, since you can't use coated paper, it's not for printing 8x10 photos...my Epson 1280 is still much better for that. Still, for everything except photos, this printer is tops.
Rating: Summary: Raging P O S Review: Wow, this thing is a real piece of junk! It has ticks already within just a few months, including: refusing to print unless there is at least 2" worth of paper in the feeder (paper jam error), paper jams in every part of the printer, and poor color reproduction. But the part you'll really hate is when the printer decides that you are out of toner, when everything is printing just fine, and refuses to work again until you pay for a brand new toner cartridge. Same with the drum unit. And today, to top it off, the toner waste bottle! How does it know that I haven't put a new toner waste bottle in? I don't know! But it knows! It's just a plastic bottle that gets full of powder, and I emptied it, but it won't print. "Waste toner box full" is all it will say. I wonder how much the waste toner bottle will cost. Probably way too much, just like all the consumables for this junky printer, none of which last very long. Meanwhile, I can't print, even though everything is completely functional. Not until I hand over some more money to Minolta. The drivers are sketchy and the printer menu is obscure as well. This printer is cheap for a reason. It's a raging P O S. You have been warned. :)

Rating: Summary: Perfect! Review: You can't beat this setup! With the exception of the funky paper slot & ports layout, the quality is far far better than what I'd expect from an [dollar amount] color laser printer. I am 100 percent satisfied with overall performance and can recommend this printer to anyone in a heartbeat. This is a hot selling printer and the great thing about what Minolta has done, by offering a great printer for less than a [dollar amount], is it will create a very competitive market...you can expect the others to jump in before long. Go for it!
