Rating: Summary: An excellent printer Review: Printer worked correctly right out of the box and is a high quality, fast printer. I would recommend it highly. The setup was easy and well documented and installing the printer drivers couldn't have been easier. Am very pleased with this product and so will you.
Rating: Summary: A+ for speed, quality, economy & support Review: This printer is fast - color or b/w. The text and photo output is just incredibly good. You pay for the ink you use - and not a drop more. Best part is this: buy the HP support option for $80 a year (that's about a quarter a day - for peace of mind) and if anything at all goes wrong, there's a replacement *on your doorstep* the following morning with prepaid UPS labels to pack off the one that's not working. I've owned mine for 3 years - I bought the printer when it first came out and I paid $799 for it. I also had the printhead problem mentioned by another reviewer. But I keep track of the number of copies we print, and after documenting that to HP, they graciously replaced the printheads, as they should have - *by the next morning*. They also provided me with a free upgraded output tray when it became apparent that the original design resulted in "overshoot" when the printer ejected pages. Of course I don't now have the original printer - they've replaced it twice. I hardly noticed.

Rating: Summary: way too expensive--in the long run Review: This printer is perfect for small offices. If you want the versatility of color and the speed of a laser, this is the one you want. It prints at 10 ppm in black and has great quality. HP printers are notorious for being loud, but this one is not bad at all. The ink cartridges are a little higher than others, but each color has it own cartridge. A good buy vs. an expensive professional model laser.

Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Review: This product is awesome! Print quality is great. I networked it with a HP JetDirect External Print Server and the whole office now has outstanding color!
Rating: Summary: Did not work from the moment it was set up. Review: This purchase was intended for a home office setup with a single user. Setup was easy as indicated in the marketing information, but from the first test (prior to loading the softward) the paper would not cycle through the printer. Every test page was 'eaten' by the printer. Even loading the software and printing from the computer did not resolve the issue. The packaged diagnostic software was useless in determining the fault. Worse yet, I could not get the pinter to print in color! For both problems I consulted a computer technician and he could not resolve the problem. One can expect an expensive purchase to perform better than this (especially since it was brand new).
Rating: Summary: High quality yet very quiet... Review: This was the third printer I had installed in less than a month and was by far the easiest. I had no problem and was up and running very quickly. The print quality is fantastic, especially for photos. I am very pleased with the relatively low noise level (as far as printers go) and would highly recommend this printer.
Rating: Summary: Worth The Difference Review: You can see and feel the quality of this proffessional series printer right out of the box. I strongly reccomend that you purchase the proper printer cable when you acquire the printer. You need a bi-directional cable to allow for the full capabilities. If you don't have one, it is a simple matter of on screen programming to set up it's use. Also, make sure you install the correct driver for your OS, drivers are available at the HP web site. This being said, you will notice the difference in quality immediately. Sharp vibrant colors and smooth delivery. This really is a top notch product. The ink delivery system demonstrated a marked improvement in smudging and running compared to other HP models, and the results remain consistent. While the target market is the small business user, I really feel this model offers a lot for the home business and home user as well. For just a little more investment you can be printing out high quality invitations, reports, flyers and more. This is also the perfect printer for the home grown photographer to make photo copies for the family. The unit works on many different media formats including transparancies. In fact, if you forget to change the settings when using transparancies the unit detects the media itself! I reccommend the 2000 series proffessional ink jet very highly. Normally you would have to spend a great deal more to get into this quality range. Color laser printers cost thousands of dollars, not including maintanace. The 2000 series offers a genuine alternative for the home and business user with laser like quality.
