Summary: Very, very good printer
Review: I own the HP Business Inkjet 2200se for almost a whole year and never had trouble with it. I have been using it on my PII-266 with Windows 2000 and it always worked well. I like this printer because it's very fast, the cost per page is very low (you will be surprised if you use it!!!!) and the print quality is excellent!!! I would recommend it to every one who wants a really good printer and can not or doesn't want to pay for a Color Laser. Buy it!

Summary: HP does not reply to problems
Review: I purchased a HP2000C printer April 1999 for home use for [price]. It had fine quality print. I three weeks ago said I needed to replace the black print head and I did and it still did not work and replace the other 3 print heads total [price]and it still does not work. I have [price]in ink cartridges not used so I asked for help from HP three days ago and have not heard of thing. Prior to that I used as much a Cannon 600e and it is still in operation, gave it to my Dad, and never had to do anything with it. I recently ordered a Epson C80 for [price]less Epson rebate of [price]and I bet it last longer. I suggest Epson or Cannon.

Summary: THIS PRINTER IS A DOG!
Review: I purchased and installed this printer in my home office. The installation was done by my wife who is employed installing hardware and software. In short, the printer drivers in this printer are defective. As a result, although I could, occasionally, print a new document, it was impossible to print any existing documents. An e-mail to Hewlett Packard Technical Support was met with a nice, computer generated response telling me they would get back to me in two days.

But, who on earth can wait two days without being able to print? Two days, to most businesses, is an eternity.

If you're a small business person or anyone considering this product, run the other way as fast as you can. You will waste lots of time trying to make this machine do what you purchased it to do, PRINT!

Summary: HP 2200 SE - Good Printer
Review: I've been using my HP 2200 SE for abount 9 months and had no problems. Paper pick-up (fan the paper for best results) and drivers work fine. The printer works faster on the "best" quality print mode with Windows ME. Everything works OK on Windows XP - but the "best" quality print mode is a lot slower. "Normal" print mode is very adequate for pictures (or anything else) and its speed is acceptable. The "draft" mode is fast - but don't expect pictures to be very great.

I have used the HP 2200SE on Pentium (200) (with Windows ME); Pentium II (400) (with WIndows ME); Pentium 4 (1.4 gHz) (with WIndows ME and upgraded to WIndows XP); Pentium 4 (1.8 gHz) (with WIndows XP).

This printer uses HP no. 11 ink cartridges (one for each color) and Hp no. 10 for black. Also note that as of 12/7/2001 this web site does not carry HP no. 11 cartridges. But, you can get them elsewhere.

On a normal day I print photos on high quality photo paper as well as normal (everyday) paper with good results. Light weight card stock (business card stock) works OK - but if you go to a heavier paper the HP 2200SE begins to have problems.

If the printer needs to be replaced under warranty they over night a refurbished printer to you. BUT - my experience with HP refurbished printers is not so great (I had to return 2 refurbished printers - and the one I finally accepted has its own (shall we say) personallity. The return was with a HP 2000 printer after about 2 years of service.

Overall the HP 2200SE printer, I have, is a good printer and a refinement of the HP 2000CSE printer. I'll probably be buying an additional HP 2200SE in the next month.

Summary: Easy set up
Review: The most difficult thing about setting up this printer was taking it out of the box. HP has done a great job making it simple and easy to use.
