The 995C DeskJet from Hewlett Packard offers the exciting new Bluetooth interface that allows instant printouts of digital information from PDAs, mobile phones, and portable notebooks. This interface is installed directly into the printer, which can also be used with standard PC systems via a regular USB connection. The radio-based Bluetooth technology can even work through cubicle walls for a distance of up to 30 feet. (Note that because it operates on the same wavelength as microwaves and cell phones, some interference may occur.) Other features include printing speeds of 17 pages per minute (ppm) monochrome and 13 ppm color, a standard resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, and photo resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. A built-in duplexer offers dual-side printing in a variety of paper sizes.As a standard printer, the 995C is compatible with Macintosh systems. Hewlett Packard provides a standard, one-year warranty on parts and service.
