Rating: Summary: Great product Review: The only complaint is that it is a little noisy, and it takes awhile to get started but for office documents, product is great, and for photos I have been extremely happy, though it is best with Canon photo-pro paper.
Rating: Summary: Best printer for the price! Review: This was a spur of the moment purchase made because my last printer finally died. I had to have a printer right away but didn't have a whole lot of money on hand, so I went with this one, not sure of what to expect but hopeful from the reviews that I read. I'm glad I did! I was very pleasantly surprised when I started printing out pictures to find that the images come out very crisp and clear! It didn't take me longer than 10 minutes to set up and is very simple to use! Great printer for an even better price!
Rating: Summary: Excellent product Review: I bought this printer very recently. I have not tested this printer to its full extent yet. Also, I have not read the instruction manual yet.1) B&W prints came out fine. Color prints are great on plain paper as well as on the photo paper sample that came with the printer. 2) Color output was very bad when I tried the printer immediately after taking out of the box. After a couple of cleaning cycles and alignments, the output came out extremely well. I think the photo print is comparable to the quality of my favorite photo shop. 3) Installation was extremely easy. 4) Application user interface (on Windows) could be dramatically improved. For example, during cleaning cycle, a message pops up saying "don't do anything until this process completes", but they will never tell you when the process is completed. When printing the photo, it was not clear how the 4x6 paper should be fed. (Be prepared to waste some paper.) 5) In quiet mode, the printing is extremely quiet, but the paper feeder mechanism is equally noisy in all modes. So, I don't see a big advantage with the feature. 6) Printing speed surprised me pleasantly. Overall, I am very happy with the product and look forward to donating my previous Apollo printer.
Rating: Summary: Great for Artist Portfolio Printing, Photos, and Graphic Art Review: This is just the best little printer you can find!!! It prints images much better than when I had portfolio pages printed professionally. Plus, Canon's customer service is just so helpful, and so friendly, I wish all companies could be that way. It prints amazingly fast too, I couldn't believe how fast the pages were shooting out. There weren't any streaks or large pixely bubbles over the images, they came out really clean.
Rating: Summary: Great Printer Review: I've had this printer for about 7 months now. I've used it alot - using both B&W and color. It still runs like new. Black type print and color photos are all clear, sharp and great looking. Ink does go a little fast, however their cartridges don't cost much. I use to have an Epson 740. I like this Canon S750 much better. Also, it's alot quieter than the Epson was. It doesn't make that annoying loud high pitch wining noise like the Epson did.
Rating: Summary: Exactly what I wanted Review: I wanted a decently priced inkjet that could handle printing out word processing documents and web pages quickly in black and white, but could also pump out quality 4x6" color photos that I take from my digital camera. One need didn't really dominate another, so I wanted something that could do both well. I did a lot of reading on printers before making my purchase, and even though the consensus was that Epson and Hewlett-Packard still dominate the industry, I went with a Canon because of its excellent price and good reviews on the s750. I'm glad that I did. Rule #1 of buying a printer is that over the lifetime of the printer, you're going to spend a heck of a lot more on ink cartridges and paper (especially photo-quality) than you are on the one-time cost of the unit. I don't know how much of Canon's push "long-lasting ink formula" is marketing, but the s750 does have excellent reviews when it comes to using ink and that's how I become first interested in the unit. I haven't owned an inkjet printer for years but I consider myself pretty technology-savvy. Installation is a breeze for anyone. If you are considering buying a printer, you have probably come across this already, but I'll throw it out anyway: I don't know of any printer that comes with a USB cable, so if you want to use the USB interface on this printer or any other, you'll have to pay for that too. By the way, the USB interface on the printer is a smaller, cave-shaped port (not the same rectangular interface found on PCs). It literally took me five minutes to get the thing plugged in, printer head and ink in, software installed, and ready to print. The driver for the printer is automatically in Windows XP but it will ask you for the CD anyway. Quality is great! I just did a 4x6" with the sample five-pack of Canon paper that came with the unit and it looked just as good as the prints I order from Costco. Another tremendous thing about this printer is the number of options within the properties area of the printer. You can apply lots of different optimizations to enhance your photo without owning a really good graphics editing program (although I recommend Paint Shop Pro if you want one!).
Rating: Summary: Very reliable printer Review: I had this printer for a while and it is still working as well as the day I opened the box and broke the styrofoam. It is really nice looking, too. It's been six months for me, and I still don't have to replace the cartridges. Of course, this will depend on your usage. Additionally, it's very quiet and prints very fast, depending on how complex the images are. The colors are not too sharp, but it's a bubblejet!
Rating: Summary: I was a HP man, but not anymore... Review: My wife gave me a HP printer as a gift, but I did some research and traded it in for the S750. Glad I did. The S750 is a great all-around printer for text and graphics, in my opinion. I really like the separate ink tanks, too. My old HP DeskJet had a hard time with paper feed - not so with the S750. I did have ocasion to call Canon support and found them very responsive, but marginally helpful on an issue that turned out to be software related. Overall, I rate the S750 a 5 star product and would buy another one without hesitation.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Printer for Value Review: The printer performs as advertised. For the value, this is an A+ printer capable of anything you ask it.
Rating: Summary: Canon S750 color printer Review: From day one this printer has not performed well. Had to have a new print head and other items after using for 1 month. Colors are not true and when you print photo's quality is very poor. I had an old 895c HP that did much better than this highly touted printer. I understand they have discontinued this model after only being out for little over a year if that long. [...]
