Summary: Excellent all-purpose printer
Review: This printer is incredibly fast. Text pages literally come popping out. Color graphics take a little longer. Very sharp black text. Decent graphics on plain paper. Excellent photos on cheap bargain glossy photo paper. I haven't tried Canon photo paper pro yet. Easy to set up and use. I especially like the auto-power feature - the printer turns on when it's needed and turns off X minutes later (this needs to be set up in the printer properties).
Also, very important, Canon support in the past has been outstanding. I once had a problem with my Canon scanner, and after 10 minutes on the phone with them, they over-nighted me a replacement scanner. All I had to do was to put my old scanner in the box and call UPS for a pick-up. All shipping was paid by Canon, didn't cost me one dime.

Summary: The best printer I have ever owned!
Review: I bought my Canon S750 Bubble Jet printer from ... and it's fantastic. The price was only {$$$} and shipping was free. Dollar for dollar no other company in the world can touch it. Why? Text printing is clean and sharp. This is important to me as I work in radio broadcasting and print many documents each day. Many other printers on the market at the same price will print photos as good as the Canon S750 but when they print text it never looks sharp. Graphics are very sharp on the S750 and the colors never bleed over. Your work always looks professional. I love the separate ink tanks. By purchasing your own ink in bulk you can fill just the ink tank that needs filling. The S750 has a separate print head so no more filling print head cartridges. This is a real hassle because if you shoot too much ink into the print head cartridge you ruin the cartridge. I'm sure you've been there and done that! I have! The separate ink tank feature will pay for the printer itself. The S750 also prints fantastic 4 X 6 and 8 X 10 prints. With the Canon S750 printer you really have one printer that does it all. I shoot film for CD covers on weekends of different recording artists. The prints are always awesome. Because this printer can print photos so well, you don't have to buy a printer for text jobs and a printer for photo work. Buy it! You won't be sorry.

Summary: Great Printer
Review: I ordered my Canon S750 printer, after my HP's color cartridge blead one color into the other, before Amazon had them in stock relying on the Canon name to give me a good product and I wasn't disappointed.Setup was a breeze using the setup guide, about 30 minutes from box to printing. This is a great printer, very fast quiet printing with clear text and color on plain paper.Have not tried photo paper yet.The paper feed is noisy but very quick. There is a quiet mode you can set that is just a whisper but it slows the printing. You just have to love the separate ink tanks, you don't have to throw out because one color is out like my old HP.This is a fine printer with software features to help with picture printing. My one complaint is no USB cable included.Order a Belkin F3U133-06 USB cable from Amazon as they are costly at the local E-store.Parallel port is slow.

Summary: Great printer...at an even greater price
Review: I did my research to find a relatively inexpensive color printer that would print photos that actually looked like originals. There are a lot of options available, but with a price tag that made me cringe. Then I found the Canon S750. This printer lives up to the Canon name and creates realistic images that are every bit as good as the original...sometimes even better. Colors are sharp and vivid and frankly, way beyond my expectations. Print times are quick, even with digital images that ordinarily would take forever to reproduce. I tried several types of photo paper and every time I was happy with the results. Text documents print almost instantly and again, the image is sharp and clear. Its also a nice feature that the ink tanks are separate so you can replace them individually as they run out. Canon supplies a full set (instead of a 50% full starter set) that should have you printing your heart out as soon as you set it up. Set up was quick and painless and I was printing literally within minutes of taking it out of the box. Make sure you buy the appropriate cable for your system (parallel or USB) because its not included.

All in all, I am extremely happy with this purchase and it was WELL worth the money. If you are looking for a printer that can produce quality photos, look no further.

Summary: Excellent Printer..!!!
Review: I must admit this is one fine printer. All I can say is .. WOW..!! I'm impressed.

This printer prints great.!!! Printed some photos on the photo paper included, and they turned out spectacular. Even printing on some non-Canon branded paper gave pretty good results. Colors were really good for a printer with only 4 colors (some of the better photo printers use 6 colors). Regular text printed crisp and fast.!!

What really sold me on this printer are the cartridges. For one, they have a pretty long life. I've printed several photos (4x6 and 8x10) and cartridges seem to be in good condition. Another thing is the seperate color ink tanks. With most inkjet printers you have a black and a color cartridge. With this Canon you have the standard black cartridge, but the color is split into three different color cartridges. What this means to you is, if you run out of one color say yellow, you can just replace that one color cartridge and not have to replace the whole color cartridge (with the one color cartridge system if you ran out of yellow you'd have to toss the whole cartridge even though you still had say blue and magenta). This will save you some bucks..!!! Especially if your color cartridge costs around $30.

The software that comes with the printer is also quite cool. I especially like the Easy Photo Print application. It makes printing photos so easy. I mean it doesn't do all the editing and fixing of your photos (that's what Photoshop is for) but it does allow quick and easy printing of photos with it's automatic resizing (Just pick your paper size and print..!!)

Man you can't beat that for the price. Yeah it may be a little more than those $100 jobs but trust me. Pay the little extra, it does matter.

Summary: Print Head Issues
Review: I owned this printer for 10 Months and I had to replace the Print Head 4 months ago, yesterday the print head went on me again. I will be throwing the 750 out the window. Guess I have to buy another printer now. Thanks Canon for another Great Product!!!

Summary: Another Print Head Failure
Review: This printer worked fine for about a whole year since I owned it. Several weeks ago, it started to streak the black ink. I changed the black ink cartridge to a brand new cartridge and still the same result. Despite reading numerous positive reviews online, I also found out about a possible defective printhead? The color tanks print fine, but the black is definitely defective.

Summary: Stopped Printing Black
Review: You can tell from the other reviews that this printhead is a piece of junk. It regularly fails on printing black. Before buying another Canon product, read the reviews. Save yourself a lot of trouble.

Summary: Print head problems
Review: The printer is great while it works, no question about it. Quite fast, good quality. I mostly used it for black&white documents so I cannot say much. BUT DON'T BUY IT since in 15 months time the print head died, and of course it was out of warranty. Funny how the all electonics die right after their warranties expire... Anyway, I think Canon has discnontinued this model (no wonder) so that makes me just one more unlucky victim.

Summary: Garbage
Review: I owned this printer for 15 months and its already broke. I used it for grayscale printing. The people at Canon suggest I purchase a new printhead for $55.00, they can keep their printhead, I will by another printer and it won't be a Canon! This printer had excellent reviews in consumer reports, I am very disappointed that I followed their recommendation. What a waste of $169.00!
