Summary: Very good for the price
Review: I had nothing but problems with this printer. Returned the printer twice due to the same proplem, which was, randomly placed horzontal lines thoughout every document I printed. Tech support was no help. They suggested changing printer cable, which I did, but I got the same results. The 1200 x 1200 DPI resolution is what drawn me to the product, only if I could have got it to work. I ended up purching the Canon BJC- 6000 and I must say I am very happy.

Summary: It's a good printer for a cheap price.
Review: I had this printer for three years, and I still love it!! It's very fast and the black text is clear. I bought it for $80, real cheap!!! As for the colors, well...it's not top notch, but what can you expect for a cheap printer. Yes, the cartridges are expensive, but I re-use them by buying printer ink kits. They usually cost about $20.

So far, no paper jams and the program runs smoothly. The best part, with most Lexmark brands, they talk!!! I love it. It tells me when it's printing and it tells me when it's done. It tells me when I need to change the printer ink and it tells me if it needs more paper. Most of all, it's very polite when I do what it asks! I get a nice "Thank You!!!"

I highly recomend this printer!!

Review: Installation was very easy. Black and white text is near laser quality. Of course, you have to have good paper. I printed a few photographs using glossy photo paper and their photo ink and was pleased with the results. The photo ink image was less grainy and had truer color than the same image printed with the regular black and color inks. The one thing you have to be sure of is to use the control panel setup and indicate what sort of image you're printing (b&w, natural color, and vivid color - or someting like that). Photo image color may be unrealistic if you choose the wrong one. Also, this printer can be slow as a dog. Fortunately, speed isn't an issue for me and I am very pleased with my purchase. I did consider the Canon BJC-6000, but the Lexmark does everything I need for 2/3 the price.

Summary: Worth the money!
Review: Now I have this printer for about 6 months and believe me, NP.... no problem. i have WinMe installed as my OS and I didn't encounter any problem w/ this printer. The only bad side would be the cost of the cartridge, whether color or black.... it's quitye expensive but prints beautifully(Very); I made some pics from my digital cam and printed it on this printer, well, better than the store(Since making your pic big or small, doesn't affect the image to be printed.) And believe me, I made my pics BIG to make the max out of this printer's capability but of course, u have to buy the "photo cartridge" to get the best. i would recommend it and would give actually 4.5/5, if I could rate it that way.

Summary: Laser Quality
Review: This printer has great and at 1200x1200 dpi its almost laser printer quality. I had no problems at all with it , just took it home and pluged it in and it works great. I had an Epson Stylus-600 with 1440x720 dpi and this is much better print quality.

Summary: Seriously
Review: This thing went through $38 cartridges like it was going out of style. The cartridges always clogged. It was a total headache. Do the smart thing and invest in a quality printer. Believe me I thought I could sneak by with this one. But you have to buy the usb cord ($12) and your first cartdrige ($38) so the total price is much more than advertised. Dont due it.
