Rating: Summary: good printer for the price Review: This is a pretty good printer for the price..The only down sideI have seen so far is that it uses a lot of ink.I have had mine for 3weeks and already ran out of ink.Besides that problem I haven't seen any other problem with it.It prints beautful cards.
Rating: Summary: Terrible Printer and a waste of money Review: This is an awful waste of money. Granted, I didn't spend much right away, but now, I am getting burned by their ink. Canon makes tiny cartridges that are almost always out of ink. On top of that, you have to buy a new print head every couple times you replace cartridges. I will never buy another Canon printer and do not wish for you to either. Buy an HP or something worthwhile.
Rating: Summary: A 100% rebate would not suffice... Review: This is the worst printer I have ever seen. Sure, the price was great (after waiting months for the rebate check); but the print quality was very bad. I tried purchasing more expensive paper, to no avail. It uses a single cartridge, which means you get color, or black. So if you print a regular document with the color cartridge in, it just mixes all the colors together so it looks black and wastes all of the [expensive] ink. And it does not produce a true black color, which makes the quality of the text very poor. Because of this, I purchased the black only cartridge which I assumed would be a bit more economical. It was not. The cartridge produced very poor quality documents; the ink bled a great deal and was always inconsistent across the page. Plus, it ran out in a matter of weeks! My girlfriend purchased the HP 8-series printer with a USB interface (which came with the USB cable, eliminating the need to buy a $20+ parallel cable for computers with USB ports), and the quality is outstanding. Also, it has separate cartridges for black and color which I now consider a must. I would suggest purchasing the HP printer (Type B00004RG74 into the search box to find it) over this very poorly manufactured printer. This printer reminds me of packard-bell computers, they were very poor quality but sold many because of the price. They are now out of business :)
Rating: Summary: Overrated! Review: This machine quit operating after 10 months from the day I opened the box.I used it for about a total of 40 minutes within this time frame. I replaced the cartridges, even deleted it`s software program and downloaded again to be sure I had not made an error. Yes, I made certain that `pause` was not on.I noticed another person had this same complaint, it`s true, this product appears unreliable.I do consider Canon products to be very good overall, but they need to re-engineer this printer. Thanks anyway.
Rating: Summary: Canon? Shoot it with a cannon! Review: This printer is not very reliable. I had paper jams a lot, it is very sluggish in printing, slower with a color cartridge, and very (inexpensive). The software was all that saved it. It is easy to follow and too easy to install. Heck, Licoln could install the printer software and add the printer to his desktop like (snap my fingers to indicate "instantly") that! I would recommend better software and products that are a little higher in price, but a whole colon load better than this rubbish.

Rating: Summary: Okay Review: This printer isn't that bad. I've had it for three years, and use it a lot to print out photos and graphics. The printer head died once, I believe a year and a half ago. If you set it on high quality it will print decent, almost photo quality pictures. The only problem is that it's a really slow printer, the printer head dying, and the ink can run up fast when you print on high quality.

Rating: Summary: Not worth it Review: This printer worked great at first, but in less than a year it wore out. Now it has several gaps or spaces between the characters that make blank lines across the page, with both the color and black ink. That makes the print quality unbearable, and I've been unable to get tech support to even respond. I've replaced the print head twice at $50.00 a head hoping that's all that was wrong, but with no change. I wouldn't want to have it repaired because it would probably cost more to fix than buying a new/better printer. I can't believe they want $... for it. It's not worth it.
Rating: Summary: EXPENSIVE INK Review: VERY NICE PRINTER BUT INK EATER. THE BC-21e CARTRIDGE WORKS ONLY FOR 20 PAGES, IT COST $39.00 TO REPLACE
