Rating: Summary: epson stylus c40ux Review: I fing that it is slow and it needs repairing quicker than other printers. It also lacks the printing quality.
Rating: Summary: loud and slow Review: I got this printer free when I bought my new desktop for school. It prints very slowly, is very loud, and of poor quality. I have stopped using it to print papers because they looked very unprofessional and I did not like the look. It is a cheap printer, and I would only recommend it if you can not afford anything else (or it was free).
Rating: Summary: Over 1 year old and still working great Review: I got this printer last year with a PC bundle and wasn't expecting a whole lot. After one year of use and of printing something almost daily I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. If you team up with a good scanner, your photos come out real nice. Not quite photo quality but good enough to frame. Of course, you have to use the right paper to achieve the best result. Speed is sufficient even at the higher end although it could be quicker. I havent had any paper feed problems or ink issues since I've started using it. Basically if you get this as part of a PC bundle I think it will suffice for the day to day use.

Rating: Summary: nice price, but not real great quality Review: I got this printer virtually free (minus the tax & shipping) with my noteook computer purchase. All I can say is that it's sufficient. It's extremely noisy & prints very slow, but the print quality is decent. I do like the fact it is a USB connection (personal bias). The fact that it is inexpensive is a bonus, as well. I purchased it because, until I'm rich & famous, I can't really afford a laser printer right now, as well as the fact most inkjet printers have a relatively short lifespan and it's not worth the money to repair them.
Rating: Summary: Epson should hang their heads in shame! Review: I just threw this piece of junk against a brick wall and feel better already. Print jobs are slow, the print quality is average at best, but worse, the ink "manager" is a mere tool by Epson to tie you to their tiny, overpriced cartridges to say nothing of the time you waste trying to get it to work. Trying to work with this Epson C40UX printer is the worst experience I have ever had with any product I have ever purchased. Epson should hang their heads in shame.

Rating: Summary: This is a great printer! Review: I love Epson products, and I've been purchasing them since 1986. I'm on my second Epson printer because the first one lasted so long. The first printer still works, I was just too lazy to take it to have it properly cleaned. Sure, inkjets are slow, but I'm more concerned with quality pictures. I don't mind waiting as long as it's worth the wait. If you can afford a laser jet go for it, but if you just want to print pictures, this one is great! I have learned that you don't need the newest model they have out, and you can save a lot of money by buying last year's model which has the same quality as that [other] model.
Rating: Summary: these printers "stink" Review: I now have three of these ... printers at my store because they quickly run out of ink and have trouble installing new ones without running numerous clean processes which waste all the ink and force you to buy new cartridges. I installed new cartridges and the black worked fine but the color was missing lines and after about ten cleaning cycles the color started working but the black had run out of ink. Seems like a scam by Epson to sell ink cartridegs.
Rating: Summary: Buyer beware!! Review: I received the Epsom C40UX printer as part of a combo deal when I purchased my Dell computer. The printer was free, and now I know why. I didn't set up my printer immediately as I didn't need it until today .... My first clue that something wasn't right was when I installed the printer software and no icon appeared. After some trial and error I discovered the word "print" when I went online. Then the real trouble began. I attempted to print one document which came out with brilliant colors and erratic, slanted, and virtually unreadable black print. this was my sole " success" at printing anything. Afterwards the printer steadfastly refused to print anything resembling letters in black. I do have to admit that what little color that was called for, always came out crisp and clear. I tried the computerized troubleshooter without success. I then called Epsoms customer service line (which is in Toronto, so I can hardly wait for my phone bill). The technicians I spoke to the first two times insisted that the printer's heads needed cleaning. Several headcleaning drills were gone through, and the technicians felt the problem would clear up after enough cleanings, and instructed me to keep cleaning after I hung up. As luck would have it, the printer just totally quit printing in black, and now white streaks were starting to appear in the colored areas. I called a third time, and after a few more unsuccessful attempts at getting the darn thing to work, the techie said it needed factory servicing. Then I was told that a replacement would be sent to me until mine was repaired. Then we would swap and I would get my original back. It would seem to me to be alot simpler if I just kept the replacement, but why keep things simple? Good luck to those of you who purchase an Epsom after reading this.
