Rating: Summary: Too many problems Review: I bought an Epson C80 along with my Dell Computer, and it constantly gives me hell. The main problem is the nozzles.. they get clogged way too easily and no matter how many times I clean them using the automatic nozzle cleaner function built in, the clog won't go away. I will have to buy a head cleaning kit to fix it.
The other problem I have is that it doesn't print on the paper straight because it pulls the paper in at an angle. I have no idea how to fix it.
I have only had the printer for a little over a year. My dad owns an older Epson and hasn't had any problems with it. So if you want an Epson.. choose an older printer rather than the C80.
Rating: Summary: Run away! Please do not buy this printer! Review: I bought this printer on the strength of its reviews. My goodness, Epson must have photos of the editor's of PC magazines in compromising positions.
Clogged nozzles, degrading print quality, hours debugging XP drivers.
I'm not a big review junkie, but registered with Amazon for the explicit purpose of warning you away from this printer.
It's too late for me ... but save yourselves...
Rating: Summary: Epson more trouble than it's worth - Save your money Review: When this printer is working, it works well. However, it doesn't work well for very long. As witnessed by other reviews, I have also had to replace color cartridges when all I did was print in black, and print head cleaning is nothing but a waste of ink. And this printer DOES waste ink, even to the point that once the microchip in the cartridge reads zero, it's still half full of ink! (I broke one of my "empty" cartridges open just to see) I won't be buying any more Epson products, my husband has a small HP printer that's been nothing but reliable for three years now, I've had my Epson for two with nothing but problems!
