Review: THE EPSON 740 STYLUS PRINTER IS AN EXTREMELY GOOD PRINTER. THE COLOR IS VIVID AND CRISP AND THE SPEED IS RATHER QUICK. IT WAS VERY EASY TO INSTALL AND IT HAS AN ATTRACTIVE STYLE. DOESN'T LOOK LIKE ONE OF THE CHEAPER PRINTERS THAT'S ON THE MARKET....I GIVE IT A 5 *** RATING.

Review: The one thing I like about the Epson 740 is that it has an 8-pin serial port for older Macs, a USB port for newer Macs, and a parallel port for PCs. The quality is good, but not the best I've seen. The speed is fair, but I wouldn't consider it fast. But again, for the best quality, ya gotta wait. Dependable 1 year replacement warranty through Epson. For the money, a good buy.

Review: This is a must have printer. It prints very good quality and with the glossy paper, it can look just like a real picture. It has a good software package with many options for printing as well. You can set it for low, medium, or high quality printing in black and white or color. You can put just about any size paper into this printer with it's full range list of sizes or you can input your own custom size. With old printers, paper jams seemed like second nature for those machines, but with this one, they practically don't exist. Within the 3 years I have had this printer I have had about 2 paper jams, even then they were not that hard to fix at all. The quality is very good, but it can suffer sometimes. Usually it might be because of low ink, but sometimes the picture can turn out just "OK". The paper tray can conveniently be taken off to fit it in small places for people with small desk space. So for those of you who want a good price printer with good quality printing and cool software pack, I highly recommend you buy this printer.

Review: This is the best printer you can buy for your money. It has a color print quality that is amazingly good. The printer is also fairly fast and will work great in a home environment. Mine has works without a hitch for months. Plus with three different ports on the back(USB, serial, and parallel) this printer is compatible with ANY computer. Highly suggest over the overpriced Hewlett-Packard printes being tossed around. If you have an iMac get the 740i instead.

Review: THIS PRINTER PERFORMS FLAWLESSLY , PRINTING B&W PAGES WAS CRISP AND CLEAR, PRINTING COLOR INCLUDING PHOTO PRINTS CAME OUT EXCEPTIONALLY NICE.I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRINTER FOR 2 YEARS AND NEVER HAVE I HAD ANY PROBLEMS , NO PAPER JAMS, NO SOFTWARE CRASHES IT IS JUST AN EXCELLENT PRINTER FOR HOME & BUSINESS !

Review: This printer worked OK for about two years. The print quality was acceptable for color and black & white. But the big thing is that it died. It doesn't work at all now. This seems to be the trend among the reviews I've seen. Based on the other reviews I'm going to go with a Canon.

Review: We bought this printer a year ago and after 3 months of problems Epson replaced it. After another 3 months the new one had the same problems, loud banging noises, the print wasn't aligned properly, ink blobs, etc. We finally threw it away and bought another brand.

Review: we purchased this printer in Feb.-within 2 weeks the print quality deteriorated significantly! They also would not honor the $50. rebate coupon, although all required info was there. We have an HP printer of comparable price that has lasted 2 years and counting. We'll NEVER buy another epson product EVER! Don't get suckered like we were.

Review: Why anyone buys Hewlett Packard I'll never know. Epson is smaller, neater, cheaper and great quality. The 740 has it all. For small office or home use it's amazing. It's black text is very quick and its top quality color is at a reasonable speed. For a color printer buy this one.
