Summary: The best at its price
Review: I use this printer primarily for home. It really does what I want. Very quiet and the print quality is excellent, much better than other printers at similar price. A very important feature this printer gives you is the option to replace only cartridge that runs out of ink (don't have to buy all cartridges at once). It can print high quality photo on regular white paper, not have to print on a glossy photo paper (but not on recycled paper either!). Nicely print any object and clearly distinguish every color on photo. Want to print text or tranparencies? Don't worry, this printer will not spoil ink on your valuable documents. Highly recommend this printer to anyone interested in good printer at affordable price.

Summary: Good but still far from perfect
Review: Well, I bought it from Amazon to replace my broken Epson 760. First of all, it DON'T have photo quality, it even a little worse than my old Epson using normal paper, don't believe what others said. It paper tray design is good, it "eat" paper quickly and smoothly, but when the paper comes out after printed, it will be bended a little bit. It is ok if u are using normal paper but not some special paper. More, I found out that the photo I printed is a little too red. I have to set the RGB setting (actually it is red yellow and blue) manually. After all, it is still a satisfacting printer cuz it prints quicky with quality and it is afforadable.

Summary: Beats the heck out of my HP!
Review: I have always bought HP printers and this is my first Cannon. The speed and color are great. It is much more reliable as far as printing every time. The photos I print from my digital camera are excellent, much better than my HP.

Summary: Amazing printer
Review: I have had this printer for a few months now and I am extremely impressed. It is probably the fastest ink jet printer I have ever seen, and still manages to print with great quality. It works wonderfully for plain text, graphics, and high quality photos. Setting it up is very easy with the included setup poster, and it can be connected to a parallel port or a USB port. In addition, it's very economical with ink. My only complaint about this printer is that the paper tray is a bit flismy and it can fall off fairly easily. Still if you need a printer for general use, this is the way to go. I have yet to find a better value for any printer. There is a formal review of this printer on CNet.com that will give you some more objective information if you want it.

Summary: Great Printer for Mac OS X
Review: I've spent some time researching printers for my G4 Mac and read some reviews on both laser and ink jet printers. Ultimately I decided to go with an ink jet and decided on the Canon S600, in part due to the favorable CNET review which indicated excellent speed, quality, and low-cost for consumables...I had it installed and running in less than 15 minutes. No software needed! The driver is already included in Mac OS X . The quality for both color images and b/w text is excellent, even on plain paper. And the printer is fast. I strongly recommend the S600 to anyone- especially Mac OS X users looking for an inexpensive, reliable, compatible, and very capable printer.

Summary: Poor quality printer, stick to HP instead
Review: After reading numerous reviews about great quality of this printer I was seriously upset after connecting it to my Toshiba
and not being able to print good quality pictures I was expecting. For example if you set High Resolution printing option, it takes about 10 minutes to print 1600X1200 jpg image.
In addition I get faint white lines on the picture and no matter what I do with the configuration of this printer I am unable to
get rig of it. Prior to this printer I had HP1215 and to say the least I should have kept it. Please don't look for low price HP is definately worth the price.

Summary: My Six Month Year Old Printer
Review: I purchased my Canon S600 about six months ago due to the inability of my old Canon BJC-620 to print without stopping or error messages. I was a little nervous to buy another Canon after my previous experience but the salesman at Best Buy told me Canon has redesigned their Printers with a new "S" series that will compete among the mid-level inkjet printers. I chose the midtrim S600 due to its price and features. This includes 4 individual ink tanks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), and for the option to print double sided. The high level trim the S800 is more expensive to buy and uses 6 tanks which costs more. All in all my printer has performed very good. Features:
5ppm B&W, 2.5ppm Color. (Based on my own experiences)
