Summary: a bargain for me
Review: About a year ago,our Best Buy had these for $39 each. This included the ink cartridges that come with the new printer. When I asked the salesman why the cheap price--less than the value of the ink cartridges alone--she wasn't sure but thought it was because they were being discontinued at Best Buy. I bought three of them.

I like Epson products for photo printing, and this one,in spite of its low price, produces good photo-quality results. The only problem, which would have bothered me a lot if I hadn't gotten the printers free, has been the frequently recurring need to do the nozzle cleaning procedure--more often than with models I've previously owned. But at this price, who's complaining. I was amazed to see that the currently listed price is as high as it is,and really thought it was a discontinued model by now.

Summary: Not a reliable printer!!
Review: Along with the previous reviews, I am unsastified with the quality with this printer. WARNING: this printer will not print if the COLOR cartridge runs out (even if you still have a full cartridge of black ink)!!

Pros: Nice design, compact,

Cons: The start-up time it takes is slow, the printing proccess is average/slow, consumes a lot of ink, printing quality is average,

Summary: You get what you pay for.
Review: As other reviewers have noted, this printer is noisy and consumes the expensive ink cartridges quickly. Most of my printing needs are for plain black-and-white text, and I think the quality of its output is just adequate. I liked the price and the ease of installation, but I kind of wish I had gone ahead and repaired my old HP 820Cse.

Summary: Very sorry for previous praise in review.
Review: First I should note that I have previously written a glowing review of this printer. Now I am filled with guilt as I realize how many people I may have steered wrong with that praise. Yes, it was a great start, but oh was this printer a disappointment in the longer term!

Everything I stated in my previous review was correct, but I could not forsee what happened - what has happened to so many others... The ink started clogging regularly. When they do, you can remedy the situation by simply running the head cleaning feature... 20 consecutive times! The first time it happened I was disappointed. I had just installed two new cartridges ($60 worth) and couldn't get it to print without running this function over and over. By the time it was printing fine, I had run it at least 15 times and the brand new ink cartridges were down to about 30%.

Well I took that for one bad experience. However, I soon ran out of ink in those carts and replaced them (another $60), only to find it did the same thing. Again, I ran the cleaning function until it came out clean and again the ink is down to about 20-30%. UGH!

I never thought I'd recommend HP printers again, but at least when you change those cartridges, you are changing the print heads with them. My advice - look for a good HP, but be sure to check its cartridge prices before you buy, so there will be no surprises.

Summary: Absolutely Crap!
Review: First you should know that ive had many printers and this one is just flat out the worst. it wasnt even 3 months old before it broke and i had to replace it w/ a new one (same model). I returned it and got the same one again thinking "things happen"....ooops big mistake. My 2nd C62 stylus lasted a whole 3 more months where it broke and i returned it again. Now im on my 3rd one and..how ironic, it is broken and not working. Keep in mind that i bought a new computer the same day i bought my very first C62 and its still only 6 months old so the computer itself isnt a factor...and yes, ive had it checked. This is the one and only time it has actually paid off to buy that "extended warranty" (aka: rip off) thing from Best Buy. DONT BUY AN EPSON!!!! You will have nothing but problems and headaches and a slimmer wallet to stress out about

Summary: An Excellent Printer
Review: For a color inkjet printer, this is an excellent one. Very high resolution, and a low price. And it works with Mac OS X!

Summary: Truly Great
Review: I am a desktop publisher I print a lot. My own digital photography is the primary source to my designs. I use Epson printers for its good print quality of digital images. I usually have three printers running at the same time when it comes to the final steps in my work, when the item I designed (i.e. invitations, business forms etc...) needs to be printed, which often means output in large numbers. Presently I use besides the C 62 also three other Epson printer models for my printing needs. In the past 4 years I have gone through five earlier Epson Stylus printer models (used up because my printing volume is 5 to 10 times that of average printing). From my presently used printers I am most impressed by the C 62 in both areas: print quality remains excellent to the last drop of ink, and its economical output of prints (both ink cartridges , black and color go very far without decreasing the print quality). Most printers do well when printing in the high range of pixels/inch, the C 62 does excellent in the lower pixel/inch range as well, outdoing all my other printers I had and have so far. I use settings ranging from automatic plus speed over normal to fine when not needing the crisp, sharp look of a photographic image and I therefore try to decrease unnecessary use of ink, plus gaining some output speed. I am highly impressed with the performance of the C 62. It leaves all printers I used and use in the dust with one exception of a former Epson model which I will mourn forever, yet the C 62 comes close. I will order at least two more Epson Stylus C 62 printers over the next couple of months, possibly even three more. My experience is based on high print volume, which definitely goes far beyond the average of using inkjet printers.

Summary: Ok printer that drinks ink like crazy
Review: I bought the C62 about a year ago and am now looking for a new printer that won't constantly be running out of ink. To make it worse, the printer gets a little low on ink and then refuses to print anything until you install new cartridges. Print quality, ease of use, etc is fine, but that should be the case with any printer. I have an HP 880c at work that seems to go forever on a set of cartidges, so I'll be shopping for an HP this time.

Summary: A WASTE of money
Review: I bought this printer a few months ago ... ; I just needed to print papers and course reserves for class. I should have done more thorough research.
For starters, this machine is NOISY!!! It sounds like it is coming apart even when asked to do something as small as print a five page Word document; I can't print anything at night without giving my sleeping roommates a start. In addition, it takes forever to do its job, and the paper gets jammed on a regular basis.
As far as it being a good value for the price; even if it did work well, the ink cartridges are on the high end and only last about a month, and I use this printer very lightly. I have already spent as much an the cartridges as on the printer, and I have had it only since late October.
I wish I could say that it is only my printer that has all of these problems, but one of my roommates has one that is nearly identical (C60) and gives her fits.
As for the rebate, Epson refused to honor it based on the fact that I wrote the number on the box instead of cutting it off and mailing it.
So why give it even one star? Well, if you can get it to print right at 7:30 am on a timer, it would make a terrific alarm clock...
