Summary: THE ABSOLUTE WORST PRINTER EVER MADE!
Review: The Lexmark Z22 is the worst printer that I ever owned and/or used, which for me is saying a lot, given my profession as a graphic artist specializing in digital printing. The printer, for whatever reason, stops printing in black after about two to three months of use. Up to that time, the print quality is excellent, almost laser quality, then it just stops printing in black. And changing the cartridge and cleaning the print nozzles doesn't help. The color component of the printer isn't much better, for it shows signs of deterioration after about three months of use. Initially, when I bought my first Z22 printer thru an auction web site, I thought I was swindled with a worn out printer. Later, when I bought my second Z22, brand new at a local discount store, the same problems occurred. In all my experiences with Lexmark printers, which overall is a good brand, the Z22 is the worst printer they ever made. It doesn't even deserve a "1 star" rating.

Summary: Don't let the price fool you
Review: The Lexmark Z22 printer is great for any casual user that only prints once in a while. With the black cartridge (sold separately), black text looks really sharp and clean. Color photographs on plain paper looks good, but would probably look even better on glossy paper. I had no problems as far as paper jams are concerned, and it works great with "print-to-the-edge" greeting card paper I've used recently. The ink level indicators work like a charm, and even though it's connected to my Windows 98 system through a scanner, I've had almost no problems. This is my first Lexmark printer, and I'm very satisfied with it.

Summary: good price, good job..
Review: This is the best printer I have ever owned. Clear prints, fast, no software bugs, no trouble at all.. perfect....

Summary: Excellent quality for the price
Review: This printer is easy to install and the print quality is excellent for the price. However, if you are very particular about the quality of your printed pages, you might want to check into a little higher priced model as I have seen better quality print than this. But I will repeat that for the price this printer can't be beat.

Summary: This is good for basic printing...
Review: This printer is not for photos and anything that is beyond your basic printing. It prints fine and I have had ours for about 5 years now. It works fine still. Ink can get pricey because even on Fast/Econo print it still takes a lot of ink. But, that also has to do with two kids in college and business printing. So I feel it uses about the same about of ink as many printers. But, I have tried to print pictures and it does not hold up for those. Pictures are streaky and pixelated. I would recommend going to a better quality printer for anything beyond your basic printing funcions.

Summary: quick printer
Review: This printer is relatively fast compared to many of the canon color printers. So I like the product. The price is good for the printer. The quality of the print is pretty good, but I would recomend getting a better printer than this one. If your only going to use the printer for word proccessing in black and white or in color I would recomend this lexmark printer.

Summary: Drinks ink
Review: This printer uses a lot of ink. You get very few pages per ink cartridge. The ink cartidges are very expensive. If you really want a cheap printer, look elsewhere.

Summary: super cheap, does the job
Review: Usually I prefer buying Epson rather than Lexmark. But one day around christmas
at Valmart I was faced with the super cheap price of the Lexmark Z22,
there was no way I could resist trying it
Installing the printer was very easy (no black cartridge, only color? Hmmm). No CD to load with win XP.
Turns out this printer does the job. It is not very fast but the quality is there
Even photos print nicely (on glossy). It is amazing how
technology advanced in the last 10 years in DIY photography.
So far after a few months of use (printing mostly text and only maybe
20 photos), I have not yet needed to replace the cartridge

What can make it five stars? If the ink cartdrige costs not tens but 5 or less dollars

Summary: My recent purchase of a Lexmark Z22 InkJet Printer
Review: When I received my Lexmark Z22 I installed and uninstalled the software several times before giving up and calling technical support. They had me do several tasks to try to determine the problem and said that it was a defective ink cartridge and they will send me a new cartridge. Upon receipt of the new cartridge, I installed it into the printer and it still didn't work.I again called technical support who determined that the printer itself was defective. They said they would send me a new one and to my surprise, they upgraded me to a Z32 WHICH I LOVE!!! So I guess after all of the frustration I suffered and believe you me, I suffered, it was worth the wait for my Z32 and my hats off to Lexmark for customer satisfaction.
