Rating: Summary: Excellent printer for the price! Review: I bought this printer as a color replacement for my black and white LaserJet. I was attracted by the 2880dpi resolution & claims of photo quality prints and laser-like black text. I was not disappointed. When used with quality inkjet paper, the printer performs as promised. Photographic results are amazing when glossy paper is used. These things are not so outstanding in the higher end printer market, but considering the slim price tag, this printer is extraordinary. Added features that I found useful are ink level monitoring and print area expansion. The USB connection option is very convenient as well. If you decide to purchase this printer, be sure to pick up a cable, as one is NOT included.
Rating: Summary: Great Buy and Cheap To Run Review: I have had HP and Epson in the past and the Epson's are much cheaper to run. I decided on this model and with rebates from Epson and Costco, I got it for $(Bargain). It is easy to set up, produces good quality prints and it seems fairly quick as well. If you want a home printer to do text and photo printing the 880 is a great all rounder.
Rating: Summary: Cheap Ink Makes This Printer My Favorite Review: I have had my 880 for just over 3 years. I have printed well over 25,000 sheets of paper (many full color). My whole family is so jealous of my printer, not because the print quality is any better than the new-fangled ones, but because the ink is so much cheaper. This Printer was made before Epson started putting those microchips the cartridges to make it more difficult to use after-market inks. So I get my ink for under $10 a cartridge from inksell: ....... Anyway, I just want to let everybody know that if you could get your hands on this printer, for almost any price, it will be well worth it in the long run.

Rating: Summary: great product, great price Review: I have mine set up with my Powerbook (Mac) and it is easy to set up, prints really fast, and produces nice pictures; all at a reasonable price. really satisfied.
Rating: Summary: Wow! 50,000 sheets and still printing Review: I just went through another ream and looked back at my records and noticed that this printer has printed a minimum of 50,000 sheets of paper. It still works perfectly. If you can get your hands on this printer, I would definately recommend it. As a Realtor, photographer, and student, I am constantly printing pages that need to be high quality, but also need to be printed quickly. That is the problem that I have found with many printers that I run into: they are either fast and low quality or slow and high quality. This printer is both fast and has high quality output. Not only that, but the ink for this printer is amazingly inexpensive through third party inks. I use inksell to buy mine, but I'm sure others work well too.
Rating: Summary: This Is A Must For A Color Printer!!!!! Review: I own this printer and I absolutly love it! It has nice color ink and black ink supply. I use it to print color and black documents! It is great for color and black. Even though it might take longer to print color documents than black documents, I still do recomend it to anyone who uses color and black ink for printing documents.
Rating: Summary: A Hair Above Standard Fare Review: I own this printer. First, this printer gives you all the standard stuff. It uses black and color at the same time, so you don't have to always change from cartridge to cartridge like the older models. Second, it comes with the 'lazy features'. You are able to cancel printing every time you print because of the screen that comes up. This screen includes a cancel button, the amount of ink left in both cartridges, and any printing errors. Overall, this printer is standard. You are also very capable of printing high quality pictures from digital cameras and scanners on gloss paper.
Rating: Summary: Great printer for the price Review: I was in the market for a new printer and read several reviews. I had narrowed my pick down to Epson or HP, but on the strength of the good reviews I've seen for the Epson 880, I decided to get this one. I'm glad I did. The print quality is phenomenal -- very close to the multi-thousand-dollar laser printers I use at work. Setup was fairly easy too. It doesn't have the annoying problem of paper jams like I've seen with the lower-end HP printers, either. I only have two complaints about it. Firstly, the speed is really slow, even at mid-range resolution (720dpi). Secondly, Epson doesn't support Linux at all. This is a real shame, since I know their printers are popular with quite a few Linux people. Fortunately, there is a project at Sourceforge that has exceptional printer drivers -- Gimp-Print <URL: "http://Gimp-Print.sourceforge.net/index.php3">. Using this with the CUPS project software <URL: "http://www.cups.org/"> will give you really good results. Bottom line -- great printer for a low price.
Rating: Summary: Epson 880 - Very Good Quality AND Quiet. Review: I've been using this printer for a couple of years (Mac OS9 & OSX). It is very quiet. I rarely have any nozzle problems even after not using it for weeks. The print quality can be exceptional if you use the right paper. I've never had a paper jam. I recommend this printer.
