Summary: A great printer
Review: . . .Ink Cost: black is for 634 pages and color for 300 pages (both15% coverage). You can get cartridges at Amazon.com as well. FastSpeed and stunning color when you print off the sample picture in the accompanied software. Paper type: it comes with various types of paper samples in the box so you can try them out and decide for yourself which type of paper is the best for your photo print needs. Personally I found Gloosy Photo Film Paper the best. However, if you need the same sharp color as in the sample photo, you yourself first need to be a master of digital photography.

Summary: epson 860 is wonderful
Review: Have the printer for about 1.5 years and love it. Gives good crisp black and white copies. Prints photos as good or better than any printer I've tried with similar dpi resolution. And all with generic inks!

Review: I bought this as a second printer to print checks and it somehow used up the color ink even though I never printed in color. Now I cant print at all witout a new color cartridge .

Summary: Superior, Award-winning Product, Low Cost
Review: I have happily used this printer for about a year with no trouble. It's quick, quiet, and produces very nice resolution for black copies and good-quality color photo images. It's been a dream to operate due to being trouble-free, and since I buy generic ink cartridges, it's also low cost to operate. The only problem I have with it is I want to buy a second one and am having difficulty, as the manufacturer is movin' on with newer models.

Summary: Completely satisfied
Review: I have owned a number of ink jet printers, but the Epson 860 is by far the best. It has had few problems and the printing is sufficiently fast in both black and color. I would highly recommend that everyone get one, but unfortunately, the company no longer makes this model.

Summary: above average printer
Review: I use the Epson Stylus color 800 and Stylus Photo 785 EPX and I am very pleased with both. I got the Stylus color 860 this past week to replace my 800 before it goes bad. The 860 is just awesome so very pleased with it. Only thing I find wrong with it is that it said you can use banner paper well you can't make banners it. The longest is only 22 inches and listed as panoramic. Unlike my 800 I can make banners 44 inches long. The right up on it was deceiving. I like making banners so I will continue using my 800 for that. Graphics and Photos are outstanding with the 860 so I really am not disappointed in it a bit. I may of been if I didn't still have my 800. I can do banners with my Photo 785 EPX but is more costly.

Summary: A NICE FAST INK JET
Review: The Epson 860 is all that the editoral cracked it up to be. Fast, quiet, excellent color and at a good comparable price (Amazon.com beat all others by $30-50). It is also quick to warm up. My two complaints are small ink cartridges and lack of USB OR PARALLEL connectors included in package which was not mentioned in advertisement. Other than that I'd buy again (DON'T FORGET THE USB OR PARALLEL CONNECTORS)

Summary: Great printer at a great price
Review: This is a great printer for both home and small office use. It is amazingly quick and it is definately the quietest Epson printer I have owned. I previously had the Epson Photo 700 and Epson 740, both good in their own right, but the 860 is by far the quickest and quietest of the bunch. The quality is also very good by my standards. Nice black text as well as vibrant colors. And along with the USB connectivity, it allows for a quick and painless installation. Especially, for the price and rebate, no one on the block can beat this deal.
