Rating: Summary: Nice inexpensive color printer Review: I bought the lexmark 3200 to replace my 2050. I really loved the 2050 and the software that came with it. I don't like the 3200 as much. I think it is a bit loud and slow. The quality of the printing is very good but it doesn't include a software package. Good print quality for the price. A nice gift for a teen with his own computer or a first printer purchase. The ink is very expensive but I have checked ink prices for other printers and they are all over priced.
Rating: Summary: Lexmark 3200 Printer Review: I have had no problems with this printer, it has worked flawlessly for two years. It is a great value and is attractive as well. Requires no warm up time, unlike our laser printer and the color printing is nearly as good as printed photographs. Ink cartridges can be easlily refilled multiple times to greatly reduce the cost of printing.
Rating: Summary: lexmark 3200 Review: i have had this printer for 4yrs and it has finally died. i had the same problems as another review --- always jamming, taking a pad of paper and not one at a time, the ink cartridges went fast and are expensive to replace, and right now it has a chainsaw sound to it. and for the cost of the printer it isn't worth fixing and getting new ink.its done and now i must move on........
Rating: Summary: Great printer! Review: I love this printer. I bought it originally because I'd heard good things about the brand and it had a rebate, and I'm glad I bought it! Great quality and the cartridges last for a good length of time. They are kind of expensive, but most printer cartridges are. I am very happy with the quality when I print both in b&w and color. It makes a little noise at the beginning of a print, but other than that is quiet and fast. It's a great printer for anyone that is using it at home for standard things or if you want to print photos, the color is good too!
Rating: Summary: This is the worst printer ever Review: I was surprised to see so many high ratings for this dreadful printer. It was relatively inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The cartridges for it cost around thirty dollars and then magically dry up in a couple of months, with the printer task bar being completely inaccurate in telling you when they will dry up. The printer itself has a tendency to jam at inopportune times. For some reason unbeknownst to the mortal world, this printer always tries to pull all the pieces of paper in the paper dispensing container and then get jammed. So be prepared to abort print jobs and grab twenty pieces of paper from the printer's maw. Considering how often this happens, it just isn't worth the hassle; do yourself a favor, spend a little more money and get a better printer than this piece.

Rating: Summary: Go with another brand Review: I've had this printer for two years now, and I've regretted buying it ever since. I had an older Lexmark printer prior to buying this one, and it was just as poor. I thought maybe the new Lexmark would be a better. I guess I let the... rebate on it dupe me into buying it.1- The ink cartridges are expensive and don't last long at all. You have to buy one every month to keep getting black print. I just bought a new black cartridge... and it's already back to printing in light grey. 2- when you have a brand new cartridge, it still takes half the day to print, and sometimes has to be set on high quality to be readable. 3- if you're printing anything over two pages with medium to high quality, you may as well go to the library and use their printer. 4- the quality is not what you'd expect from a 1200-1200 dpi printer. not even close 5- i don't know if this is true of all Lexmark printers, but mine does not print certain colors I work in a college and use ink jet printers every day. None have been as unreliable and worthless as this Lexmark. I don't know if the people who've written these other raving reviews have ever used another printer, because they seem to think this printer is a godsend. All I know is when I'm printing out notes for class, I can't do it at home with this printer, that's how poor it is. I either use the one in my office or the new one I just bought, which is not a Lexmark. just my two cents.
Rating: Summary: The value of this printer is worth more than its price! Review: I've owned a Lexmark 3200 for almost 2 1/2 years now and all I can say is that this printer is great! The 1200x1200 resolution is astounding! All black text when set to 600dpi is comparable to that of Laser printers while color and photo prints are very detailed. The only problem I have with this printer is that it is slightly noisy and the print times are not as fast as other inkjet printers. However, this should not daunt any home user as this is definitely the printer to buy for home use.

Rating: Summary: Excellent Printer and a Super Value Review: I've tried several printers over the past few months mainly looking for one that would give me good results when printing pictures. I do photography professionally so quality means a lot in the finished photograph. I also know that printers aren't yet up to par with what can be done in a darkroom with film, enlargers, and photographic paper. So, that being said, I'll defend the Lexmark 3200 to the end! For what I want a printer to do with pictures, the 3200 can't be beat for the price. I've compared it to the H/P Photo Smart 1100 and the 970 Cse and the quality is every bit as good if not better that the H/P. One thing to remember; Lexmark makes PRINTERS. Not computers, medical equipment, and several other things besides. Granted, the H/P is quieter and maybe just a tad faster, but speed and a very small amount of noise weren't an issue for me. The only negative is the cost of the ink, but I don't believe that any ink for any printer is any kind of a bargain. You can't go wrong with this printer. Since the price has dropped so dramatically, I even bought a second one just in case the one I've been using flies apart with all the use it gets. So if you need a great printer that is basically free when you take away the rebate and the two ink cartridges, go for the 3200. You won't be sorry!
