Summary: Avoid Printer...breaks easily
Review: Terrible Terrible piece of work. Owned printer less than a year and it's already useless. It's the same plastic "tooth" as mentioned in the previous reviews.
Support for the printer is 90 days for everything (software, hardware, phone) which proves HP has little faith in its longevity. Fork out the extra bucks and get something worthwhile.

Summary: software support
Review: The orginal CD disc worked just fine but was lost in a move. The printer is less than one month old. There is absolutely no help from the HP support site. The software download is damaged. I contacted online support. I was simply left hanging for such a long time with no response whatsoever from them, I resigned in, THREE TIMES!!I was online talking with DUPI (all of HP's tech help has been farmed out to INDIA. Talented IM sure BUT CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE ENGLISH LANGAUGE. This was a complete failure. When I explained to them "WHAT WAS WRONG"(a light finally came on), they assured me a new driver/software download would be in place. Two days later.....No software. Shame on companies for moving customer service to middle east. Yes you save 80% on labor (pay americans 10.00 per hour, Indians 1.25)and lost 100% of the american retail business. I have a 3320 deskjet for sale for parts. Better yet, instead of buying the CD that they continue to push onto me for 15 dollars (the entire thing only cost 30 originally), I think I will get creative by going down, buy a new 3320, bring it home, use the CD to install (and copy) then return the printer for a refund. Way to go HP! You guys are moving Up and On! All the way to India. You've come a long way baby! Congrats. ALl the way to a third world company.

Summary: The Worst !!!
Review: The worst printer I've ever had, I just used it for 4 months and its broken: I won't keep on buying HP products anymore.

Summary: DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER !!!
Review: This is not an HP printer as you remember them. This is poorly built and will fail as soon as it's out of warrantee. As a matter of fact, mine warrantee was only 6 months.

BUYER BEWARE !!!

Summary: it's priced what it's worth
Review: This printer has great quality & speed for print outs. However, after 5 months, the printer head assembly (the part that holds the ink cartridges) broke & would not move any more. There is only a 90 day warranty for a reason. On a positive note, the ink carts are cheap. On the down side, they are cheap because their capacity is smaller than the average cart.

I replaced it with the HP DJ 3820...rated very highly & seems to be built to last.

Summary: A piece of junk ... caveat emptor
Review: This printer is a piece of junk: you get what you pay for. The paper jams CONTINUALLY: be prepared to stand over it and monitor your print job, even with BRAND-NEW, PERFECTLY PLACED paper. I used to believe that HP was a reputable manufacturer: then I remembered that it was purchased by Compaq. Funny, but my Compaq printer continually jammed as well. In addition, it has a default 1/4" margin, which means that it chops off the first letter of anything that's printed out of Internet Explorer or Outlook Express, and there's no simple way to correct it without going off on a day-long research project. The software that comes with it is already out-of-date, requiring the download of a new 20MB driver for Windows XP, and the links to support are out-of-date as well. The supposed "Help" that comes with the printer is generic: when I clicked on "Help" after repeated attempts to feed the paper into the printer *JUST RIGHT*, I received instructions about clearing a paper jam out of the back end, which this printer doesn't even have.

Don't waste your money: spend a little extra and pray that you get something reputable. HP ain't what it used to be--it's gone to the dogs. Printing shouldn't be this difficult and aggravating. HP displays its contempt for its customers in the shoddy products that it foists off on them. It won't live off its old reputation for long. Be prepared to spend ten times as long as you would expect to spend just to get a simple document printed.

Summary: Good Little Printer
Review: This printer is great for me... I only paid [a very reasonable] and the Ink cartridges are cheaper than some. If you are a frequent printer then you may want something more heavy-duty, but this little guy is a good deal for the occasional printing job.

Summary: HP is trying to trick you
Review: This would be a good printer for [the price]. Unfortunately, that is not the true price. It does not come with a black ink cartridge or a parallel port connection. When you buy the cartridge and the USB cable, the true cost is [a bit higher]. This is not a good [....] printer [for the total cost]. If you already have the USB cable and you don't plan on printing much text, then buy this printer.

Review: We bought our HP DeskJet 3320 in Summer, 2003. It was well taken care of, but broke by December, 2003.
