Summary: really, really bad.
Review: As somebody else said, there is a good reason this printer is so [inexpensive] -it is a useless .... I got mine and it printed about 10 pages before becoming unusable due to a software problem of it "uninstalling" itself. The printer's paper handling, during the rare times it works at all, is also THE WORST of any printer I've ever seen with frequent jams. It also seems that the rollers that are supposed to grab onto the paper and feed it through the machine are especially weak/poorly designed. Sometimes the printer "printed" a document - except for the small problem that it had not taken any paper from the tray! There is also a really annoying piece of software that comes with the printer that constantly "reminded" me of various useless things and also includes irritating vocal announcements of the progress of the printout. Sure, you can disable these, but since you should plan on reinstalling the drivers up to 10 times before the printer finally gives up and dies, this can be a real nuisance. ...

Summary: No problems whatsoever
Review: I don't understand everyone's problems with this printer. I've been using this printer for over two months for my home business, and I've yet to encounter any problems. I do a lot of printing, (I've already replaced both the color and black ink cartridges at least once,) and the cartridges last through many, many pages. I don't even have the paper jams everyone keeps mentioning about Lexmark printers. This is my second Lexmark and I'll probably buy a third whenever mine needs replacing. I have no problems with the software, no problems with the printer. Maybe these paper jams have to do with the quality of paper being fed through them? Plus, I can print out my digital pictures and they aren't super grainy like some printers are with photos. This printer isn't the same caliber as those photo printers, by any means, but it does serve a purpose for printing photos once in awhile. I recommend this printer.

Summary: Very bad experience
Review: I got a brand new Lexmark Z35 a couple of weeks ago. This is my first printer. I am astonished by its bad performance. The print speed is so slow, almost 1 minute to print a single page. The black toner seems does not work, it can not print any black signs or letters on paper.

Summary: really, really bad.
Review: I got this printer with my new Dell Desktop 4550. They included it with the package and knowing Dell they did the homework on the machine prior to making it the printer of choice.

It is good for the money. Fast for an inexpensive printer and the color is solid and good.

The paper feed is simple and doesn't jam, Yeah! The printer is quiet in comparison with the old HP that it replaced.

If I had one gripe, it is regarding the default properties on the printer setting. The setting is locked on "normal print" (using more ink) and each time I want "quick print" (faster, less ink) I have to go in and reset the printer settings

Other than that I would recommend this unit and, for the price, it is a very good printer.

Summary: This printer is basically junk
Review: I'm currently shopping for a replacement my Z35 printer. It is junk. The first one fed paper in crooked every time, so I exchanged and the second one does the very same thing. Now it says it is out of paper when it isn't. The print quality is mediocre at best, the color reproduction isn't very accurate (using Pantone color references) and the toner is fairly expensive. Recently I have had two genuine Lexmark printer cartridges fail (very poor print quality). I won't buy annother Lexmark product, you shouldn't either.

Summary: Great printer for the price
Review: I've bought this printer in Target on February 2003. It came with black and color catridges and with kodak photo paper. I found this printer to be suitable for my needs which consist in using it for printing Taxes papers, maps from mapquest and word documents. It has worked fine, I haven't had any problem with paper jamming of any kind. Since I dont' use this printer that much I just can recommend it for light usage.

Summary: Piece of Junk
Review: Same as "An Electronics Fan". Occasionally prints a document. On those occasions where it does not, it won't let you delete the failed document from the print queue. It says it's deleted, but when further attempts are made to print other documents, the print jobs just fill up in the queue, waiting for the first job to complete. The only way to clear the printer queue is to reboot. But there's another problem. The document that was holding up the queue gets printed during the reboot process. That's wasted paper, since by that time you no longer need the printout after having spent more than a few minutes deciding that you don't really need it (eg., maps from mapquest).

I've forgotten about failed print jobs only to find that when I rebooted my machine days later, the printout came out. This is a piece of junk. Perhaps there will be a software upgrade, if that is indeed the problem.
