Rating: Summary: Works pretty well just a couple of points to note Review: This is a pretty good printer for what it is worth. It copies really well without a computer. It in "Best Photo" glossy mode produces brillant colors. The installation was also pretty easy. Scanning is excellent and fast. Caveats: Loading paper is an issue depending upon the type. It would sometimes take in more than one sheet. Or you need to reposition the paper cause it wouldn't load. The sound of the loading is quite loud. Printing in Best photo mode would take about 3 minutes for an 8x11 inch sheet of paper. Paper setup does not account well for 4x6 5x7 or wallet size photos so the pictures are off. I have had the printer for a month and a half and used up almost half of my ink cartridge with modest usage. But this is expected from buying an ink jet. The software provided is quite difficult to use to manage and enhance your own photos. In some areas is dead easy but if you stray from the path (clean up red eye or some touch ups) you can't. Borders are limited and it forces you to "upgrade" online for addtional border options. Bottom line is I do love the printer. But the warnings are from my experience but I can work around all these issues. But if they are issues to you I would avoid it.

Friendly command panel 2. Intuitive menus 3. Good looking! 4. A+ design 5. I am sure it fits your budget! Cons: 1. Can't think of any! In summary, I will buy it again if I would have to!
Rating: Summary: Too many pluses to be outweighed by one minus! Review: This is by far a wonderful machine..I love Epson's software - HP can't even come close to it. Multiple cartridges are economically a good thing. VERY fast printing! Nice simple interface on unit. All around quality. Minus, you ask? If you've read other reviews you know what I'm going to say..the initial clunk at the beginning of printing. Not sure what the real deal is here..but let's say I've printed quite a bit from it in the short amount of time I've had it and I haven't hit and don't perceive to hit any paper jams or paper feed errors, which I've had numerous times with my HP630 Ojet. Hope this was helpful. I don't think anyone can go wrong buying EPSON. Quality is there.
Rating: Summary: Already Had to call Tech Support & Exchange.... Review: I bought the CX5200 after a lot of research & was hoping it would be as wonderful as all the reviews I had read. It worked wonderful the first couple times I used it. The copies I printed came out better than the originals. Then I hit the glitches... I have used it about 8 times. I already have an error message regarding the Scanner & it indicated that I have to call for service. It will no longer print anything at this time. It's useless. I called Tech support & they couldn't help me. They were willing to send out a new one in replace of this one. They were very helpful in that regard. Before it hit the glitches, I tried printing a photo & either I have to change some settings or the print quality is really awful. I did use high quality print paper & had my digital camera set on the highest resolution. It may just be some experimenting I have to do within the settings to create a nice photo picture that everyone else praises about. Just like others mentioned, it is very noisey & that initial clunk is very irritating. Hopefully, It was just a fluke that I ended up with a lemon & my new unit will work as wonderful as I've read about! I will be certain to write a new review if my next one is what I was hoping for! = )
Rating: Summary: Praise Review: Fast with great colors. Able to set exactly how I want to things to print. Copies so well I can't tell the difference between the original and the copy. A tad noisier than my last printer but still a great product.
Rating: Summary: Totally satisfied Review: Photo Printing on Glossy Photo paper - Excellant result, I am thinking of using a maganifier to compare with real photo. Scanner - excellant, just blow my son's picture from 1 inch sticky photo to 4 by 6 w/ great result. OCR worked great, scanned a page of MS Word document w/ some different fonts and styles, all recognized w/o any problem. Someone complained earlier it is loud when loading the paper, it didn't bother me since this printer wasn't designed to print out your office documents in the first place. Strongly recommended!
Rating: Summary: Great but has noise Review: I have been an Epson user for years specially on my home computers. My previous Epson printers are the Stylus 600 and the Stylus 860. the CX5200 easily outperforms the 860 and the 600 for print clarity and speed. it is also noisier then my old printers as well, and I gain desk space in that a very good scanner is also there with outstanding picture capture and OCR capability as well. The only thing missing from this device is the ability to scan negatives and slides. all in all, it is a great device. ALso, love the fact that I can copy when the computer is not on. that is nice.
Rating: Summary: BEST ALL-IN-ONE FOR HOME USER! Review: Besides making copies, printing and scanning, this device features "Dura-Brite inks", which means your picture won't look like it is 70 years old after one year of shelf exposure. Also, it has separate ink cartridges, which should save a lot on ink replacement. Other all-in-ones with separate ink cartridges cost ... more, and none of the promises long lasting printouts. Except the noise this machine performs excellent, especially for this price. I did a lot of research before buying this one, and so far I am happy I did. Also thanks to www.Amazon.com for really cool discount and supersfast free delivery. Just few reminders:-don't use it in your bedroom in the middle of the night, if you don't want to wake up your family... -no scanning or copying anything bigger than letter-size; -no fax software inlcuded ...
Rating: Summary: VERY GOOD machine for the price Review: No problems. The only complaint would be that it does not have a auto document feeder. I wonder why.
Rating: Summary: Great All-in-one! Review: I shopped around before settling on this multifunction wonder. It is so easy to set up and so far it's been easy to use. The quality is outstanding. It gets a bit noisy when grabbing paper and that's the only downside I can see. If you want to call that a downside. The speed with which this scans, copies, and prints is more than satisfactory. The Photo Impression software that comes with the system is neat. I work with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 at work and although this program isn't nearly as detailed as Photoshop, there are some elements that are similar such as cloning, paintbrushes, gradient backgrounds, lassos, enhance and effects modes. These are great for altering your photos and getting cool results. Not bad for introductory software and it's easy to use. I have to add that Amazon exceeded my expectations in delivery. I received my Epson 4 days after ordering! Wow!
