Summary: Awesome Printer
Review: I have had multi-function printers in the past, but have been hesitant to get another one because when it exceeds in other areas it is awful in the rest. This printer far exceeds in all areas. My husband scanned me a picture of my daughters coloring page and everyone thought she hand delivered it to my office. The printing is the best I have seen yet and the copying was phenominal. This is worth every penny.

Summary: Good Printer
Review: I like this printer a lot- very easy to use, great customer support. My only problem is with the colors. When I copied a few pics ( and I used photo pictures, an ad from the newspaper and a pic from a magazine) the red wasn't red- it was orangy and some blues weren't the right shade of blue. But I like the print quality of just printing documents. Also the Photo Editor in this is so easy to use and fun. All in all it's a good printer, but if exact colors are a must for you then this isn't the printer for you.

Summary: A good first, or replacement printer!
Review: I purchased this unit to replace a Xerox printer/scanner/copier, whos consumables were much too expensive! Now I have a machine that does color PLUS many other features that were not available with the Xerox. I had the need to copy my driver's license, and was scared that I might get arrested -- the copy was SO good! I used the repeat feature, and printed six copies on one sheet of plain paper, and was overjoyed! IT is a tad slow getting to the first copy, and makes "strange" noises getting up to speed and shutting down, but these are minor annoyances.
I was able to purchase a multi-pack of 6 B&W and 4 color cartridges for around $36 (brand X) which seem to work fine.
Since the readout is on the top surface, you must keep the machine at eye-level in order to easily read the display.
With the discount, it cost me less than replacing the drum assembly in the old Xerox! All in all, an excellent bargain!

Summary: Not for OS X
Review: I was considering this product until I checked Canon's website. No OS X support. It works in 9.1 and OS X in "classic" mode but no real OS X support. Most of the included software works in XP only.
From Canon's site...

"""Mac OS X Compatibility

Canon multifunction products are not supported in Mac OS X. Please see below for the list of products compatible with Mac OS.

All models not listed are compatible with Windows operating systems only."""

Check it out at canonusa. Look for MultiPASS MP360.

One star due so lack of support for Macintosh OS X when they support it for their digital cameras.

Summary: Good performance (so far)...
Review: I've been using this unit for about a week, and I really like it so far. It's a little bigger than comparable HP units, about the same as the Epson unites, but is nicely designed...and it's not grey or silver. The print quality is excellent, and the copying is also very good. (Haven't printed any photos, so cant comment on that capability.) I've adjusted copy quality and light/dark and managed to make good color copies of fairly difficult materials. So far, very good. Oh, it's fairly quiet too. Recommended after a week or so...

Summary: Great Multifunction
Review: It is better than my Lexmark x5150, the scanning is better and the software bundle is just as great. The BIG DIFFERENCE is the INK costs. Lexmark cartridges cost around $[price]+

A canon black ink BCI-24 costs $6-7 and a color BCI-24 is $[price]

Compare the ink prices and you'll see that Canon is much more economical. Also the Canon MP360 prints better, it has quiet mode and the microfine droplet technology is awesome. Canon is known for their superior printing quality. Lexmark = cheap, they lure you in to buy their cheap printers and make money off you when you keep buying their ink. Another thing is the QUIET MODE and the flatbed scan platten is actually FLAT and not tilted like the Lexmark x5150 (which gets irritating when things slip off). I compared the two printing qualities and Canon wins by far. The MP360 has four settings: super-draft, draft, standard, and high. The x5150 has: draft, better, best. Guess what? Canon's super-draft prints BETTER than Lexmark's draft. For a student like me, printing in super-draft is fine and saves lots of ink. Don't listen to that other reviewer complaining about the ink. When you do buy black cartridges, buy 2-3 at once.

The machine does prints fast but it can stall a little to clean the print head. The reason why Lexmark and HP cartridges are so expensive is because each cartridge replaces the entire print head. Canon ONLY refills the ink and you can change the print head when you need to, which = economical. It is not big either, compare it's size to HP and Lexmark multi-functions and they are all in the same ballpark in terms of size.

This is the perfect printer for college students like me. Remember, each black cartrigde ($[price]) estimates 200 pages of printing but if you print in super-draft mode (which is still good quality for text) you'll print closer to 300 pages. Do the math with the ink costs. A lexmark black cartridge costs $[price] and estimates to print 600 pages.

Canon rules, and I will stay loyal to Canon.

The printing does delay a little when you click "print."

Summary: Bought it based on reviews here
Review: Not that much more to say about it except:
* awesome scans
* great borderless prints
* great looks
* easy to use - just hit a button on the scanner
* you can make copies without the computer being on!

Not unlike with the Tivo, at least once a week my wife looks at me and says "I LOVE this scanner!"

Summary: Good Printer & Scanner, somehow big, easy use, good looking
Review: The scans are relatively fast with a great resolution. I've scaned a photo in 600 DPI, and the colours were with exact shades and tones; the printing is worth enough too, to pay for that.

Cartridges are cheap enough for a student to pay for them occasionally. I'm a student and have bought this one to do my projects at home. Although the cartridges seem small, but they are enough to print at least a report of 100 pages, and because of their low price, I think, its worth enough to use it, instead of an HP, which its balck cartridge costs about 3 times, and the colour one about 1.5 times more. The EPSON's cartridges are, of course, cheaper (the fack ones), but as the EPSON need a head cleaning after every week of a week of inactivity, it seems that you need more cartridges to just clean the head!!! So considering this cons, although this one may have some negative points too, but still according other multidevices with an equivalent price, stands on top.
If you want to get a good colour copy on a A4, you should reduce the quality to standard or draft mode; so not much ink would be jet on the paper and make it wet, or cause the colours to mix.

In addition, it's a little bit big, actually there is no room remained on my desk to put my books, but if you don't really care, it's ok, and I'd suggest it. Its installation and usage are easy too.

I wish you enjoy it too.

Summary: I can't begin to describe how happy I am with this printer!
Review: This is the first Canon product I've ever owned but Canon products will be my first choice in the future. Up until about 2 weeks ago I used a Lexmark Z12. With limited space available to me I started looking for a good, inexpensive, all-in-one unit. After reading alot of product reviews I finally decided on this one. On the old Lexmark with cartridges running about 35 each I was conservative with ink and only printed when I had to. With this printer not only is ink much cheaper but the print quality is fantastic. I took a 3x5 photo and enlarged it up to an 8x10 on photo paper and I really don't think I'd have gotten any better results taking it over to the 1-hour photo. The print speed is so much faster than any printer I've ever owned too. Scanning and copying is a breeze as well and for copies no need to even have the computer turned on. It's been a long time since I've been this pleased with ANY product I've purchased and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good multifunction.
