Summary: Fell short of my modest expectations
Review: I have a 17-inch ViewSonic monitor in my office, and when I saw the Samsung 153v on fire sale at my local store I bought it. It totally disappointed. I hadn't expected much of a so-so brand but its poor image quality, especially the lack of uniform lighting over the screen and rather narrow viewing angles, totally put me off. Next to my 2-year-old ViewSonic 153v's image looks dark and unevent. I couldn't get a refund, so I just sold it on Craig's List for less than I'd paid.
