Summary: great first experience
Review: I was amazed at how the classic Mp3 player preformed.
i am one that has never had an Mp3 player besides this one but I new that this player was giving me a good preformance. It sounded like an home stereo. Not only was the sound great but it was easily handeled and it also dosn't take an rocket science to figure out how to work it.

Summary: Very cool blue toy!
Review: I'm very happy with my mp6400. For the price i really didn't expect the audio quality to be as good as it is. This thing really rocks! It had twice the size of flash memory than its name brand competitors that were comparable in price and up to 128mb can be added via smart media card. I liked the design and size, it fits well in my hand (i chucked the handstrap that came with it) and is small enough to fit discreetly in my pocket. The lay out is very intuitive and functional and i had an easy time figuring it out. I'm the type that doesn't enjoy reading manuals so i'm glad this unit is simple to use. The software that comes with it is also a no brainer to install and use to manage mp3 files. Everything worked well the first time i tried it. I'm using win 98 to run the software, for those using the xp platform there is an update that can be downloaded at their website. I'm not allowed to write the url in this review, but the company name is emiglobal NOT classic. You can probably figure out the rest of the address yourself.The built in 64mb holds up to 10 to 15 songs, depending on the file size of your music. I'm a musician and i use the mp6400 primarily as a study tool for music i want to learn, ingrain and perform so the 64mb is plenty enough for me. I don't feel a real need to use it as a juke box type player with hours of songs on it right now, but it's nice to know the memory is expandable.

Summary: Decent machine but CHEESY
Review: It works well, but I've seen better construction on a happy meal toy. The battery and SMCard lids are awkward and hard to open and are made of a plastic that screams 'I'm gonna crack'. One word of warning to people that own an Olympus Camera like I do. Do not use the SM card in this player unless you have a card reader that can re-format. The MP6400 uses a proprietary format scheme and may screw up the card - even if you say NO to the MP3 manager's query to format the card their way. If you use a Olympus BRAND SM card and this happens, you may no longer be able to use the 'panorama' feature, even after re-format.

Review: It's okay, but could be better. The casing's cheap, but the sound quality's good. I bought this for walking to class and going to the gym. Over all though I think I would have been smarter to have just saved my money and bought a better one. I didn't have that much of a problem with running the software and I have Win ME.

Summary: Player Doesn't Work with Windows-XP
Review: Just got the player. It looks like a great value for the money. However when I got home I was disappointed to discover that my new Windows-XP Pentium-4 machine was unable to talk to the player. Apparantly the USB driver did not recognize the device. I was forced to use my older computer running Windows-98.

Summary: MP6400 - Fun & worth the price
Review: Just recieved one for Christmas. I like that it comes stock with 64MB of storage + can use a smart card. Instructions are a little unclear but you can work through it. Buy yourself better earphones as these 'buds' are a little hard to use.

Summary: Don't buy this product. Spend the extra money.
Review: Not XP compatible, lasted two weeks and then stopped working. Called the manufacturer and was given the run around. Spent money to overnight the thing with the promise of prompt repair or replacement, that was now 39 days ago. I still have not received it back yet. DO NOT buy this product, if for no other reason than service. There are plenty of quality MP3 players that may cost a little more but the service alone is worth it.

Summary: Great sound from a small package
Review: Setup was real easy. Stick in a battery, and then plug in the included USB cable. Let the computer recognize the new hardware, and grab the drivers from the included CD-Rom. Next run setup.exe from the CD-Rom, and install the MP3Manager application. First thing you do in the app is format the built-64Mb memory. You can also slot in a 128Mb SmartMedia card, for a total of 192Mb (3 hours). Copying files take a matter of minutes, and although the app doesn't have a drag-and-drop mechanism like Explorer, it's easy nonetheless. Sound quality is awesome. I would recommend buying a better pair of earphones. Has all the functions of a portable player - FF/rewind, next/prev track, volume, bass, treble, etc. Nice & compact - slightly bigger than a pager. Loses one star because the casing is that transparent plastic used on cheap pagers. PS - XP users need to download updated drivers from EMIGlobaldotcom.

Summary: more bang for your bukk
Review: this is the best 64mb. mp3 player around for [this little money]!. ... i put 20 songs in this baby with no problemo. its totally expandable. fully adjustable bass,treble,(volume of course)gets really loud if desired! fast music transfer. very light weight.the lcd display is nice,not the best but i seen worse on units costing [a lot more] only cons to me are it looks pretty [dang] cheap, dont let that discourage you, its really great for the $$! the earbuds sound good but they are not too comfy.the lcd doesent light up.
