Summary: BEWARE! Cannot expand to 192mb as claimed!!
Review: I recently purchased this product, and then spent the money to get a 128mb memory to expand it to 192mb. The Kazoo, however, will not recognize larger than a 64mb card. RCA aparently is now aware of this, but they do not plan to put out any updates to fix the problem. All they did is change the specs on their site to say "Expandable to 128mb!"....rather than 192mb.
Way bumbed out, wasted money. Not cool!!

Summary: Miserable -- stopped working completely after 2 weeks
Review: I was given one of these as a gift. It worked fine for about 2 weeks. Then, it just stopped working completely. I talked to customer service and spent a few hours re-loading drivers, updating software, deleting other (unrelated) software, etc. In the end, they told me to send it in for exchange.I mailed it to them, but they claim it never arrived. (Of course, it wasn't returned to me, so they must have gotten it. And why do they care, anyway? They were just going to throw it away.) That was it -- they just refused to do anything else. They admitted it was probably "lost in the warehouse." Some warranty. I'll never buy another product from this miserable company.

Summary: Excellent bargain
Review: I bought this on a whim at *another* store ... because of the low price. The salesperson sold me a 128MB Sandisk memory card to go with it. After 2 tries, I gave up. It would only let me record about 45-49MBs before I started getting weird errors. Plus - you had to shove that sucker in the slot and then I couldn't get it out. I made the tech at the store do it. The Viking 64MB card (available here) works great, though. Hopefully they'll come out with a 128MB one that works - and soon! (I mainly wanted to share what MM card worked...

Summary: Great Player
Review: The Kazoo is one of the bes mp3 players in it's price range. However, it still leaves a lot to be desired. But I'll start with the pros. This player is probably not much havier than my ear phones, even with batteries. When I first picked the thing up, I was a little surprised to find that it weighed so little. It's also easy to start up, you just load the software up, plug in the USB cable, and your off. I did not face any problems loading music to my player. The controls are simple to use, too.
The Kazoo has some cons, too. For one thing, the included "MusicMatch" software is only a demo, you can't download anything with it unless you pay for the real version. You need the softwae to load music onto your player, however. That shouldn't be a problem if you already have free programs like KaZaA or Morpheus. Another con is that it only has 64mb memory by itself or just 197 with a memory card. Other mp3 players out there have gigabytes an gigabytes of memory. You could never dowload your entire collection to this player.
In whole, this player is pretty good if you want a small, light player and if you want to listen to a couple dozen songs at a time. I give it 4 stars.

Summary: Great product!
Review: I bought it at first sight. The software was easy to understand, and downloading was a breeze. I could fit 130 minutes of cda files on the device. You could fit infinitely more if you load MP3 files. 64 meg goes a long way. The sound from the supplied headphones is awesome. I wasn't expecting them to have such great bass. Most of all, I love how small it is. I'm a woman and I like to put it in my pants pocket and walk around the office with it. No one knows I'm carrying it except they see the headphones. I now wear a set of ear buds and hide the cord under a jacket or sweater to be more discreet. The only drawback is you need the MMC card to expand the memory. Its slot is too thin for an SD card which is more readily available. That's the reason I rated it a 4 instead of a 5. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

Summary: Walkers and Runners Rejoice!!!
Review: FINALLY!!!...Music you can TRULY walk and espcially RUN with! There is no skipping, no bulkiness, no inconvenience. All this with GREAT sound and about the size of a pager that can be worn like a watch, around your neck or I clip it onto my baseball hat. At last...music and movement have successfully combined!! I LOVE THIS THING!!!...

Summary: Just What I Needed-
Review: I've been carting cd's back and forth to work and the gym in order to be able to listen to what I want. When my cd player, which is relatively new, started malfuntioning, I decided to upgrade to an MP3 player. I found a lot that were either out of my price range or had way more bells and whistles than I needed. This player was what I needed at the right price. When I got it home, I was a bit put out to discover that I had to load MusicMatch in order to use it, and that it doesn't work with Windows Media Player or Real Player, and it doesn't simply function as an external hard drive. But MediaMatch is easy enough to use once loaded. I recommend going for the 64MB memory model, since the price difference is 20 bucks. I can get just over and hour of music on it, and I plan to invest in an external memory card later to expand the amount of music I can put on it. What's more, I can decide from what day to the next which songs I want to carry around. The neckband is great for the gym, as is the armband. I'm hoping that if the plastic carrier breaks another one can be purchased easily. For the money, and for what it does, this MP3 player is a good buy.

Summary: thin sound, flakey lcd
Review: This was the first mp3 player I bought. The sound was ok, but thin, even with bass boost. After 2 weeks the LCD screen flaked out and I took it back to the store I bought it from for a refund I've since bought the 1080, which has far better sound and more memory.

Summary: Great Product ...compact, good and quality sound
Review: This product is worth the money. Very compact, great sound quality and easy to use. I also own the Archos Juke Box 10 Gigs and the sound quality on the RCA is much better. You can fit approx 13 to 14 songs also expandable memory. The head phone can do without. AAA batteries are included. Its great for working out or jogging.

Summary: GOOD MP3 PLAYER FOR BEGINNERS
Review: I'm absolutely pleased with RCA's RD1060 player. First, it's a very good bargain - where else would you find an mp3 player under ... with serious bang for your bucks? Rio One? Puleeze.. it was a waste of my time. The size of the player also impresses me, it is probably one of the smallest mp3 players out there on the market. The RD1060 is light, too light some would say - turn over the case, and you would see a "Made in China" label on the back of the player. With that in mind, I wouldn't recommend this product to users who are looking for "extreme durability". However, it should suffice to the rest of us who rarely bangs our mp3 players to the table, or drops them on the floor. Now for a review of the sound quality. The RD1060 has 5 DSP modes - Flat, Bass, Pop, Rock, Jazz. On the surface, I am quite pleased with its sound quality - it's the "loop-headset" that I'm not too pleased about. The bass produced from the headset is decent, but as with the case of loop headsets, sounds often overflow from the headset. Plus, it's simply just too bulky too carry around with - defeats the whole purpose of having a portable audio. RCA should've shipped this product with an earpiece instead of a loop headset. The product is also shipped with the basic version of MusicMatch Jukebox, which is a real breeze to use. The only annoying thing is that whenever you close the program, it pops-up an ad advertising for the "plus" version of MM Jukebox - not very pleasant, but liveable. Users with old computers/laptops beware: MusicMatch Jukebox takes up a lot of memory, and is prone to crashing your PC! However, if you have a new PC, this shouldn't be any problem at all. So far, those minor complaints are all my grudge against RCA's RD1060 - it's a good product with a good bang for your bucks, and I would recommend it to those looking to get their 1st mp3 player!
