Rating: Summary: Price and performance Review: I just purchased this monitor along with a Viewsonic VB50HRTV tuner module to do double duty as a TV and computer monitor in my study. The monitor is beautifully designed with a compact and shallow case and thin bezel.Installation on a Windows98 system was effortless using the enclosed CD-ROM. Upon initial start-up I was impressed with the brightness and contrast level of the picture. There were no dead Pixels at all. The picture was sharp and clear for both text and graphics. Very impressive! On-screen controls were intuitive and easy to set. I had initiall looked at the Samsung line of LCD monitors as I have had very good luck with their CRT units. The Cornea MP704 seemed to have equal or better specs for considerably less money. Cornea offers a 3-year advanced replacement warranty and toll free support (which I haven't used). Using this unit with the Viewsonic tuner produced a good, if somewhat overly sharp television picture. Certainly good enough for casual viewing. All in all this is an excellent unit fo rthe price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-sized LCD monitor in the sub-[$$$] range.
Rating: Summary: Definitely a sleeper! Review: I was a little nervous buying the MP704 since I had never heard of Cornea Systems and haven't bought any medium-sized ticket items on-line before. But I needed a new monitor and wanted to try an LCD. So after much research and price comparing, I decided on this 17 inch model. It doesn't have lots of bells and whistles, but I didn't want any - just a quality display. And that is exactly what I got. The combination of the base price plus the rebate plus the deal on shipping from Amazon was the ultimate decision maker. It had decent reviews too, so I was relatively confident in my choice. I received it on time with good packaging. I had a little confusion with loading the driver, but that's likely because my PC is about 5 years old. After a few minutes it was loaded and I was on my way. The manual adjustments are a bit of a pain, but the "auto" feature works great. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the display. It's darn near perfect! I chose black just because that's my preference which made the screen seem almost too bright. But that was easily fixed. I toned down the contrast and brightness a bit from what was "automatically" selected. I highly recommend the MP704. It's definitely worth it as probably are any size of their LCD's.
Rating: Summary: Awesome LCD Review: Great LCD. Had it for a year now. works great. My friend is still waiting for a better deal. he still has not bought one.
Rating: Summary: Decent monitor for price Review: I bought this monitor to replace a 19" CRT monitor to reclaim the lost desk space, and I'll have to admit that it does a decent job for what I paid for it. But this is not to say that it is without problems, of course. The biggest problem is that even after fine-tuning every manually adjustable setting and/or using the auto-adjust feature, the screen output is somewhat fuzzy at its native resolution. There is a slight shadowing on text at low contrast levels (increase the contrast to reduce this), and there are some blurry vertical lines (the clock speed isn't manually adjustable -- you're left at the mercy of the auto-adjust). These conditions can be somewhat improved if you have Windows XP by turning on ClearType and I find that I can live with it better that way. Now this isn't to say that this monitor is all bad. The screen is very bright and movies and games look very nice (they don't blur or shadow unlike some of the other LCD monitors I'm using). It supports more resolutions than a typical LCD monitor (i.e., 1280x960, etc.) and lower resolution full-screen pixel extrapolation is actually one of the best I've seen on any LCD monitor (e.g., switching down to 1024x768 or 800x600). This is also the first LCD monitor I've owned that has ZERO dead pixels, amazingly enough. Overall, given the price and performance, I would probably recommend this to anyone looking for a bargain monitor that lives up to its price.
Rating: Summary: Great monitor, great price Review: I was skeptical when I started to consider buying this monitor. Who has ever heard of Cornea Systems, and why is this monitor so inexpensive? Well, I did my research and was quite surprised! This monitor received great reviews on other web sites as well as here at Amazon. Based on the reviews and the price, I went ahead and bought it. I've had it for two weeks and I will never go back to a CRT. This monitor has a bright and beautiful picture. There were no dead pixels. Setup was very easy. I now have so much extra space on my desk! In the reviews this monitor was reported to pass the Nokia screen test. This is a series of benchmark tests measuring monitor performance and capabilities. Since I do some gaming online, this fact was important to me. I can play Battlefield 1942 with no problems. In addition, I don't get a headache looking at this monitor as I sometimes did looking at a CRT. If you are considering this monitor, Amazon is a great place in my opinion to get it. If you don't like it you have 30 days to return it. This thing is so light weight that Amazon's 2-day air shipping cost less than the sales tax I would have had to pay buying it offline. The monitor has a great 3-year warranty too. Go Cornea!

Rating: Summary: First LCD I ever purchased, fantastic... Review: This is my first LCD screen I ever purchased. Let me just say, i am amazed at the quality for price comparison. Rating: Summary: Video Flicker on start up Review: Hey I go this on the cheap and didn't expect much but after 2months it began to flicker when booting up. Looking for invoice for warranty info right now :( Good over all picture when not flickering.
Rating: Summary: Good little monitor! Review: Sharp and clear picture, web sites and video games and everything else I use my computer for look great on this monitor. I never even had to adjust the factory settings. I have been very pleased with this product. I had no trouble when I got it either, just took it out of the box and plugged it in (I use win xp) and my computer found it and I was up and running instantly with it. I highly recommend this monitor for most users. If you play really high end games or use really high end graphics then I would recommend dropping the money down for a nicer monitor but this monitor should be more than enough for the average person.
Rating: Summary: After searching and searching I finally got this LCD Review: I have been researching LCD's and waiting for the price to drop for 8 months now and when this came up as on special from Amazon I jumped on it. I do tons of gaming on this LCD and it has no "ghosting" artifacts common in high speed/framerate games. So the minimum response time was a big issue for me and it passed it with flying colors. I play Raven shield and UT2003 and there have been no graphics problem at all. Installation was too easy just plug and play. Didnt even touch the drivers that it came with since I have WinXP. I now use a screen resolution of 1280x1024 and the graphics, text, and desktop are wonderful. My games look really crisp and I can now actually enjoy watching my DVD's on my computer since its a 17" LCD. I cant say enough good things about this other that its really good quality. I also like the one-button auto adjust since it saves me from spending time tweaking the contrast and brightness myself. One push and it centered my desktop accurately and looked crisp.
