Summary: LCD becomes affordable
Review: I was thrilled to get a 17" LCD monitor for [the price]. The image is very sharp and plenty bright, and I was able to reclaim half my desk from the CRT monitor. Installation went smoothly and it worked perfectly -- for two months. Then the picture went dead, and it had to be returned. Customer service was good and it came back within 10 days, but unfortunately without the transformer. Again, customer service was good, but it was another few days before I was up and running. Make sure you use the ClearType fonts in Windows XP, and make sure you run at 1280x1024, NOT at 1024x768.

Summary: Great value, good quality
Review: The display quality is beyond my expectation. The images and documents look much better than from the 15.1 LCD display in my Dell Inpiron 7500 notebook computer. The auto configuration feature offers a lot of convenience if you adjust the resolution from time to time or boot to different operating systems installed on the same computer.

This display is also much lighter (in weight) comparing to its more expensive competitors. Its display quality is better or comparable to most other brands of 17' LCDs I saw in Fry's.

The screen was a little blurry when I hooked up this display through a switch in order to share it between two computers. But the same problem happened to my other CRT monitor at one time as well. It might be related to the quality of the extension cables or the length of such cables.

The other concern is that Amazon shipped this item in its original packaging. It's somewhat shaky when arrived. But nothing seemed to be broken or malfunction when I hooked it up.

Summary: 1.5 diopter glasses not needed
Review: I started keeping my reading glasses mostly on my hair since I received this 17 LCD 3 weeks ago, AMAZING! I Have used three 17" Crt-TF for LightWave6/ Programming/ and Stock trading up to 20 hours a day. I will never go back to Crts again!! If this Monitor last > 6 months, I will replace the other two 17" CRTs with another LCD (only 2 LCDs probably needed). HTML unsizeable text type is clear. The CRT next to the Envision is ghostly, grayed down colors, less contrast, and I need my glasses for most text. Only problems are, because of the LCD's lower frequencies, I can't use my better TF Crt's on the same Dual AGP card.

Summary: Very Nice
Review: I wasn't sure about it after reading the reviews but I got mind today and it was a snap to hook up out of the box put the stand on and it was ready to go in a matter of mins.the auto config made it even better didn't have to do anything so overall for the money and a 17" I think it is great.

Summary: Great Monitor, Great Price
Review: I am absolutely thrilled with my new Envision 17" LCD display. I purchased it to replace my old 19" monitor (which truth be told had nothing wrong with it & I just felt like a change), and couldn't be happier with the choice. The 17" viewable screen is brilliant & makes my working & playing on the computer very enjoyable.

The only problem was how long it took to get delivered. When I ordered it the site said usually ships in 2-3 days & the next day changed to usually ships in 2-3 weeks. I can't really blame them though, it's such a great product I'm not suprised if it's flying off the shelves.

Summary: Poor Quality--will they pay for eye exams?
Review: I was very excited to plug in and start using my new flat screen. After spending ocuntless hours convicing my wife that I did need a new flat screen monitor, even though it was smaller than my old monitor...you get the picture.

Text is blurry. I've tried tweaking the thing. Focus, contrast, brightness, yada-yada. What a disappointment. I do have another TFT LCD High Resolution Color Display to directly compare this to--on my IBM laptop. There is absolutely no comparison.

I am taking this monitor back tomorrow. I bought it at the loacl (store) after seeing it here. If you are considering buying one--especially from Amazon--I'd recommend against it. If the quality you experience is anything like what I experienced, you may regret it.

Cheers.

Summary: A Winner!
Review: I did alot of research before selecting the EN 7100e and am very pleased with the quality and clarity of text and colors. Several competitors offer 17" LCD for $100.00 more but for at home enthusiasts, this is a great monitor. I decided to buy both of my children (in college) Envision's EN-5100e 15" LCD for Christmas gifts!

Summary: You get what you pay for, and sometimes you get MORE!
Review: I'm not exactly sure what monitor the first reviewer was using, I purchased the Envision 17" EN-7100e on 11/30/01 from (wholesale club) for a bit more then the price here, and I've been using it on my PC (WinXP Pro/ATI Raddeon 64DDR card, etc.) and it's wonderful! I've played Zoo Tycoon and The SIMS and the graphics are crisp and clear. My only gripe with the unit is the controls are on the TOP of the display. And it's auto-configuration made the picture a bit too bright! But it's a good monitor, and for an LCD Display, Espl'y a low cost one, this is WORTH the money! Envision proved one thing to me, that a no-name company can put out a quality product for a good price.

Summary: Good, but not great.
Review: As my first LCD panel, I'm of course impressed. There is a dead pixel on the left-hand side, which didn't surprise me after reading the other Amazon user reviews. However, for its price, it's a very good display, and I would recommend it to others.

Summary: New price for this level!
Review: (...)To make a story short, bought one of these, and it's worked perfectly for me. No problems, nice clear display, 3 year parts/labor warranty. I still can't beleive it, but I think it's a good deal (and a US company, btw).
