Rating: Summary: Great monitor for a little price Review: Considering the viewable area afforded by conventional CRTs of the same size this panel is lighter, has better contrast and has a smaller footprint making it ideal for college or high school students. I bought two, the first had to be returned and was replaced with no questions however the return shipping was delayed but was UPS' fault. I strongly recommend to any cost conscience buyer.
Rating: Summary: Smart buy Review: Do not let the mediocre spects(contrast 200:1, brightness 150 Cd/m^2) fool you into thinking that this is a cheapo display. Chances are that you will adjust (or use the auto adjust option on the machine) to a less than max values for brightness and contrast. Effectively one should not even notice the narrow range of it's features....Unless of course you had your friend over and read the spects out of the box (I doubt that many people can tell whether brightness is at 120 or 300 Cd/m^2 just from looking at the screen).Running at 1024 X 768 is fine (equivalent to 17 inch CRT without stress). To try to run at higher resolution (1280 X 1024) makes no sense in 14 nor in 15 inch CRTs and barely acceptable in a 17 inch, so why do it in a 14 inch LCD? The viewing angles are more limited vertically. Horizontally, two or three(really close friends or relatives)people should not have any problem seeing the content in the screen...unless there is a big difference in height. In short, at around 160 dollars (after rebate and taxes) is this the best thing you can get. There are no competitors in this range.
Rating: Summary: Don't even think about it! Review: Hello everyone, I've just received this monitor, about an hour ago, and I am returning it back to Amazon.com! It is the worst monitor I have ever seen in my whole life. The left side of the monitor was totally blured, and the screen started to shake, rock and roll baby! The price after rebate was about $100, but believe me, it is not worse a $1! Anyways, it might be my luck, but I ignored others' review before I buy this and now I ahve to return it, which is a pain! Good luck...
Rating: Summary: Don't buy this item! Review: I bought the monitor as a gift and it failed within the 90 day warranty period. I tried the phone number on the warranty card and it is non-working. The fax number worked, so I sent them all the information and no word! So I certified mailed them notice and still no word - not eve the certified card has come back. Amazon should takes this product off its site! I would give it even one star (but its required).
Rating: Summary: great monitor Review: i bought this monitor a couple of days ago. What i wanna say about this monitor, overall it's great.Consider the crystal screen and cheap price(i got it about $150).Definitely a nice solution for those who are price sensitive and want to update their computer vision.
Rating: Summary: Nice monitor, even better price after rebate Review: I bought this monitor a few months ago. I can't I can beat the price on it. Yes it is only 14.1" It replaced my 15"CRT monitor that was only 13.9" viewable so it was still an upgrade. The only thing I can say is that it isn't really as bright as other flat panel monitors. But for the price after rebate it is a steal. The silver and black is really sharp looking.
Rating: Summary: AMAZON should think twice to do business with this company Review: I bought this Monitor because AMAZON advertised the Monitor for $ 209.00 PLUS $ 70.00 Mail-in-Rebate. I send in what they asked for but my Rebate is reclined because I don't have a ORIGINAL Invoice from AMAZON. The Monitor was delivered from the Manufactor so I only have a computer-printed Invoice from AMAZON. They will not accept the Invoice. We gave this matter to the General-Attorney from AZ because is it not right. We saw on TV a few days ago this happened all the time with Mail-in-Rebate for Computer-Equipment's.
Rating: Summary: Do NOT buy this thing! Review: I do not care if you get this monitor free after rebate, it is not worth it. Check out KOGi Tech. Support pages. FAQ #6 is about this little peice of work. The screen splits into 4 parts and swaps positions with the part on it's oppisite side. I had gone through 2 of these before I looked at their site to find out that their solution was to unplug the power from the monitor without powering it down when the screen splits. No real solution like send it in and we will fix it. If you do not mind unplugging your monitor all the time, go for it. There is a certain place that thinks they are the BEST place to BUY things that has it for $149.00 after rebate. Pretty cheap to enter the world of LCD but is it worth the troubles? You decide.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good for such a low price Review: I was skeptical about purchasing this item, after reading the other reviews, but after receiving it, I am pretty happy. True it may nor be as sharp in graphics as other high end monitors, but for a student like me, this is a wonderful product. Easy to plug in,&looks cool on my desk. If you are looking for a flat monitor, but do not want to pay a high price, I highly recommend this product.
Rating: Summary: You can't have something for nuthin' or... Review: If it looks to good to be true it probably is. I went with the more positive reviews of this product, but after a disappointing set-up where the monitor flickered on and off and no where to turn to for tech help I put in back in the box and returned it to Amazon.com. It's priced to move no doubt and I thought I could live with a no frills monitor but learn from my experience and put down another hundred bucks and own a monitor you can have more faith in. After droppping the Kogi off at the UPS, I went to Cnet and found the editor's recommendation of the Samsung-SyncMaster 15" TFT-LCD Flat-Panel Monitor-152N. It's a great monitor, there's plenty of tech support and software (although I haven't needed to use it yet) and a 3-year warranty. As long as you're going to make the investment for a monitor, pay a little extra and get one you can have some confidence in. It was a tough lesson for me to learn but a priceless one.
