Rating: Summary: Review of Envision 8100e Review: I got this monitor pretty cheap by current standards. It "does the job". It only has an analog VGA input. After setting the default RGB values to 50/50/50 and then tuning further manually from there, it looks pretty good color-wise, and it is sharpest if you remember to hit the "Auto" button and have it calibrate its timing to your particular video card. (Don't let it auto-calibrate color as this is inaccurate, for whatever reason.)Still, after tuning, text is not sharp; there is faint bleeding between pixels. You can sense this as you use it, and you can see this problem clearly if you use a magnifying glass. At first I thought this was a matter of using a DVI cable, but the monitor's LCD is just not of high quality. If you haven't used LCDs extensively in the past, you may not notice. If you have, you will. Also, the rated life of the backlife is 10000 hours, about 1/5 of most other monitors. Compared to my more expensive Sony SDM81 LCD monitor, it is more contrasty but is definitely inferior. I did not have any problems with dead pixels, and the monitor's response time is adequate for most purposes EXCEPT high performance gaming. ...

Rating: Summary: Review of Envision 8100e Review: This monitor was a steal ...BR>Unpacked the monitor and plugged it in. Not a single pixel was bad. Beautiful picture quality and Unreal 2003 ran just fine, a real test for a LCD monitor. Price of other same spec. LCD monitors was much higher. I'm so happy I got the wife an Envision LCD also.
