Summary: Oh, the desk space you'll regain!
Review: I used this to replace a gigantor 17-inch monitor, and it's very swank. The image goes all the way to the edge, so although it's technically two inches smaller, the difference in viewable area is not that much. Also, it's brighter and crisper than my old monitor, so it feels just as big.

My only peeve is that the stand is not adjustable, and for some reason they've angled it so that the screen points slightly downward. Not an issue if you plan to hang it on the wall or mount it on a swing-arm, but to use it as-is I had to put a CD case under the front edge. Kind of detracts from the streamlined image. I guess my desk is supposed to be higher, or I'm supposed to be shorter . . .

My favorite feature is that when you press the auto-adjust button, you get a message that says, "Please waiting." It cracks me up every time.

Summary: Critical Omission!
Review: I was very excited for this monitor, but when I took it out of the box, I discovered a critical omission... IT DOESN'T TILT!!

Unfortunately, you can't adjust the screen angle left/right/up/down without actually moving the stand, too. I hadn't bothered to look for that feature in the specs, because I didn't know they still made monitors with fixed stands (is this the only one??)

To tilt the screen up, you have to prop a pad of paper under the front of the monitor stand. *Very uncool*, and it makes the entire setup tippy.

This may be an awesome monitor in other ways, but I'm very disappointed with the lack of ability to adjust the angle, so I'm giving it one star & will be returning it.

Take a look at your monitor right now. Isn't it adjustable?

Summary: This Monitor is Clear and TILTS!
Review: My KDS Rad-5 15 arrived today, and hooking it up was simple. I did a good deal of research before buying, and I was not especially picky about brand. I really needed something that was going to take up less space at my home. I read the reviews below, and was a little servous before it arrived. I noticed that at least one person said that it did not tilt. This is absolutely innacurate. If you purchase this monitorr, simply pull the bottom of the monitor frame (from under the power button) slightly towards you, while pushing the top of the frame away from you. (Didn't seem that complicated to me..... but...) The only thing that was a little annoying, was a sticker that the manufacturer put along the top of the monitor. It was a little bit of a pain to peel off. If you have a hair dryer, run hot air over the sticker, while you peel it away. (It will come off easier, then use a little bit of isopropyl alcohol to take away any residue.) Lastly, the settings are not as hard as some of the reviews may sound below. It took me all of say..... 20 seconds to adjust. If you are not brand specific, and want a good flat screen, at an awesome price, I'd reccomend this.

Summary: Excellent monitor for the price
Review: My own experience with this monitor has been nothing short of excellent: cheap price, free mouse, excellent display quality. I've noticed that the people who knock this monitor don't mention what resolution or refresh rate they're running at. They probably don't realize that most LCDs are designed only to run at a specific resolution and that if you change resolutions, characters become "blocky" and the entire display becomes fuzzy. This monitor's optimal display resolution is 1024x768 at a refresh rate of 60Hz. You have to remember, CRTs and LCDs are different types of technology. LCDs don't actually refresh the same way that CRTs do, hence you can get away with a lower refresh rate. As for the guy who said you can't tilt this monitor and that you have to stick a piece of paper under the stand, I'm speechless. One other thing, the response time on this monitor is pretty fast. I can play games like Unreal Tournament or watch DVDs on it with no ghosting whatsoever. KDS has been known to be a cheap brand, but sometimes you just have to give credit where credit is due. The Rad-5 truly is an excellent monitor, especially if you consider how much you pay for it.

Summary: Good value for the price
Review: Picked my KDS Rad-5c at ... for $...less thab the lowest price on line. Display was to bright had to tone it down with controls on right side, not the easist to use but okay. Model 5c has left/right speakes but don't bother hooking them up. Like laptop speakers not good except for decoration. Was in the same shopping center where there a Walmart and stopped in on a lark and was pleasently surprised to find the KDS monitors, no other choice, that was it. They had two models of HP computers with monitors on sale also, one with the HP f50 lcd monitor for less than $.... Always went to ...or ...for my computers, but if ... has what you want, apperas to be a better price.

Summary: Beware
Review: Reviews are often times a series of dialogues between their writers. I don't intend to trump any one of them. I only want to give an unbiased account of my poor experience with this monitor. It arrived early and at a competetive price from Amazon. Thumbs up to Amazon for that part. But then "plug and play" turned into more than 3 hours of unsuccessful troubleshooting and a very poor monitor. On my first computer the image was horrible. All icons on the desktop had blue and red shadows, the text was next to impossible to read, and the overall image quality unacceptable! I hooked it up to two other newer computers and received the same results. I can't believe KDS can sell this kind of product to people and receive positive reviews. I am not too demanding which is why I opted for its bargain price. But we can expect at very least some decent quality. Both my 3 year old Dell laptop and the 6 year old CRT monitor that I wanted to replace had superior quality over the KDS. I bought another CRT monitor and will probably stay with it until quality and affordabliity in LCD's improves!

Summary: I LOVE this monitor
Review: The colors and graphic display are vivid, the size is great, its sleek, very high resolution. Everything seems much clearer on this 15 inch flat screen then it did on my old 17 inch room hog! I am very happy that I bought my CPU separate from the monitor, this is a great deal, very easy to install, the desktop panel is easy to operate, I highly recommend!!

Summary: No Problems Yet
Review: The video clarity and brightness are good, and it doesn't take up much space. The connectors used to hook it all up are a bit weird, but overall I'd say this was a great buy.

Summary: Had a bad experience with theri customer service department
Review: Their customer service department is rude, and not helpful, if you can find another brand I would recomend it in the event you need to use theri customer service, I called to ask about a wall mount bracket, and after getting the run around and being transfered all over was finally told they didn't have one...thanks for taking an hour and a half of my time.
