Summary: Monitor doesn't support common resolutions
Review: If you ever plan or intend to play older games DO NOT EVER buy this monitor... The company doesn't support low resolution modes such as 320x200 which are pretty common even today. Basically the monitor stretches the image too much vertically when using 320x200 and 640x400. Otherwise this monitor is nice but don't expect any sympathy from their support staff when you go boo-hoo. In fact, don't ever contact their support staff. Anyone who uses all caps in their emails anywhere makes me wonder how they will sound over the phone.

Summary: High Quality, Low Price
Review: My wife and I bought an Envision 15" monitor for her computer at Thanksgiving. Simple to hook up, no configuation hassles, and a really nice picture. And you can't beat the price. Only hassle: Original unit was DOA. Exchanged it, and the new one works like a champ. Now I'm looking for an Envision 17" to replace my 19" CRT. No hesitation recommending this monitor!

Summary: EN-5100 Great Value
Review: The Envision EN-5100 provides a wonderful view for a great price. The picture is very bright and clear. Setup is easy, take it out of the box and plug it into your graphics card and AC outlet, its that simple. Windows 2000 reckognizes it as a plug and play monitor, you must use the included Envision INF floppy disk driver to get it setup as an EN-5100 (though it works just fine if you don't). As of 10/03/01 Envision did not have the INF on the web.

I looked at 2 other LCD monitors side by side before purchasing the EN-5100, even though the others cost more, I thought the Envision had a better picture for text based work. I'm not a graphic artist so color matching was not important, I'm not stating the colors are right or wrong, better or worse. I'm just stating I didn't compare colors, I wouldn't even know what to compare :)

I did find one very small annoying feature, barely worth mentioning but... The OSD menu cannot be moved from the center of the screen during screen adjustments.

When the monitor is presented a new video resolution it automatically configures itself including focus, brightness, contrast, vertical and horizontal positioning. For all the cases I presented it, it did a fine job of adjusting itself.

In summary at least as of this writing, I think you'll be hard pressed to find an LCD monitor for the cost of the EN-5100 that looks as good.

Summary: EXCELLENT VALUE
Review: The Envision EN-5100E is a excellent value. I have been looking for quite a while for a LCD flat panel monitor that had good picture quality without paying a fortune for it. It was very easy to set it up, I just plugged it in and it starting working. The monitor does come with a driver but, the instruction manual has to be printed off their web sight. The monitor is real good for pictures or text type work. I also liked the 3 year warranty that it comes with. Some of the other LCD flat panel monitors only have a 1 year warranty.

Summary: Excellent image quality at a reasonable price
Review: The images coming out of this monitor are bright and sharp. It does a very good job in displaying crisp text. It is very easy to set up and no adjustment is needed. If you do want to adjust the monitor, all the switches are easily assessable. For those who are using older Mac, ie a G3-266, which do not have a standard VGA port, you need to use an adapter. Save the adapter for the original CRT monitor because it may be just the right one that you need.

Summary: Brightness On The Screen Uneven
Review: This is my first Lcd monitor. The obvious weakness is that many of the times the bottom half of the screen is somewhat brighter than the top half, and this phenomenon is especially evident when I play board games like CHESS or GO. If you don't play board games on line, it maybe OK. But for me, I am thinking of returning it to Amazon for a CRT.

Summary: Loved it for 5 months, now it's dead!
Review: This monitor produced a wonderful picture for the money, for 5 months. Then it went black. Bought it at CompUSA--they don't want to know, because I didn't purchase the... service contract. They will not return calls. So, I'm dealing with the manufacturer and have to ship the unit at my expense to New Jersey for repair. Thank goodness I still had the old monitor around (can't just put it in the dumpster, can we?!!) or I'd be computer-less in the interim. I notice Amazon has discontinued this model--are they on to something? I wouldn't buy this headache again.

Summary: Well worth the Money
Review: This was a choice in my gold box or I might not have bought it. I would have been missing out on a very good monitor if I hadn't.

I just bought a new 2.53 gigahertz multi media computer running XP home edition and wanted a monitor with a small footprint but still able to handle graphics intense functions. Set up was a breeze. I just plugged it in and it was recognized at once. While I normally use a 17 inch monitor, I have to say that this 15 inch LCD monitor was easier to read, especially at a distance.

I am definitely pleased with this product.
