We found the DVD playback to be bright and colorful, as were screens using various graphics programs. Onscreen controls include RGB color temperature, pincushion controls, horizontal and vertical convergence adjustment, and positioning controls. Calibration controls are a cinch with a four-button touch pad and easily navigable onscreen display menu. Tired of the flicker of low-refresh-rate monitors? The Visual Sensation supports a whopping 1,920 x 1,440 at 75 Hz. And even if you prefer lower resolutions, the VS-21e supports sky-scraping refresh rates. For graphics professionals, the VS-21e provides BNC connections for a top-quality image. The only flaw we noticed was a slight geometric distortion that couldn't be corrected, in the corners of the monitor.
