Summary: Excellent
Review: After buying and returning two NEC FE950 monitors due to poor picture quality, I bought this one, and am very happy with my purchase. It worked wonderfully right out of the box without any tweaking. The picture is sharp, clear and uniform across the entire screen, and great for both text and graphics. The packaging is relatively small for a 19" monitor. There is a tiny bit of moire on the shut down screen, but it is not noticeable during normal use. I consulted [web site] before purchasing this monitor, and I was not disappointed.

Sincerely, Ilya Rosenberg

Summary: 6 months and still loving it!
Review: I bought this monitor in April 2000. Clarity is great. Resolution is great (small text is very clear). Colors are VERY vibrant and saturated. Distortion is non-existent. Flat screen is beautiful. Previewing photos before printing to my Epson Photo 750 is beautiful. This is a great monitor. It does everything it's supposed to do, and it does nothing wrong. I would buy another one right now. I also have a Compac V900 19" monitor, which is not flat. Colors, resolution, and distortion are all better on the Sony. And I paid more for the Compaq. I highly recommend the Sony E400.

Summary: a good choice
Review: I have sony E200 17 inch monitor, and I absolutely likedit. Needing a new one, I decided to buy sony again, but 19 inch instead. The panel is even flatter (even a little concave for the first few hour looking). It really outbeat the other trinitron models I have seen. Buy this one!

Summary: An almost perfect monitor
Review: I love my e400, only odd problem is the power switch. I'm having problems similar to the one mentioned in Bryan Davis' post. The switch always turns the monitor on...but sometimes doesnt turn it off...

3 power switch problems..Hmm....whats going on here...

other than that....its a-w-e-s-o-m-e.

Summary: The Best 19" Flat Monitor
Review: I've done some research on all the 19" Flat monitors on the market before I bought the Sony E400. It's one of the best quality monitors you can buy for the money. The picture is incredibly sharp and clear.

Summary: A they say in Wayne's World... " E X C E L L E N T ! "
Review: Incredibly crisp image - even miniscule text is sharp a legible. Great color saturation - colors look rich. Image is so sharp I can display at 1280x1024 and leave the settings on "small fonts and small icons" without any strain. Fairly short for a 19" monitor too - takes up less space than my 17" Nanao did. Image sharpness blows away my old 19" Viewsonic 790 - which it has, ahem, replaced.
