Summary: Absolutely Wonderful Monitor!!!!
Review: First of all, I have to thank Amazon for shipping this monitor so quickly! I had the Free Shipping for it and it arrived 4 days after I ordered it! This 19" monitor looks beautiful! This monitor was an upgrade from a 17" I've had for several years. The image is crystal clear. I have my resolution set at 1152 x 864 at 75Hz (85Hz is possible!). For the gamers out there, this monitor is perfect for games like Counter Strike and Star Wars: Jedi Academy! I can't say enough good things about this monitor!

Review: For me, it was between this monitor and another. This one came with free shipping and got here in only 3 days! I do love this monitor. It looks great on my desk, the footprint is pretty small and the screen just looks fantastic. I definitely recommend this monitor. Great buy and the price cannot be beat.

Review: Geez, I read all the reviews on this site, praising this "wonderful" monitor and I made a HUGE MISTAKE; I trusted their words and ordered it, without going to a store to see it in action.On the sides and edges (even with their software that does NOT come with it; it's a web-download), on both the left and the right, the horizonal wire mesh underneath the actual display is visible - constantly visible and the display, although color sharp, is not very clean. There are no 0 stars, so it gets a 1. Save yourself the time, and money, and do NOT buy this monitor

Summary: Very Sharp Looking Monitor.
Review: I bought this monitor partly based on the first review by jce1975. Shipping was awesome, I ordered it at noon on tuesday and received it at 5:15pm on Thursday. Two days! This is a good looking monitor, Black with a very small techno case. Well built too. It is much more compact than the other 19 inch Envision crt that I own. It goes perfect on my desk with my black dell dimension, black keyboard and speakers. I replaced the refurbished 17 inch (E171FPb) LCD flat panel I got from dell that had lousy resolution. Set up was a breeze because I had downloaded the drivers and naviset utility from the NEC site which does not come with the monitor. The only complaint I have is that the shadow mask holes are a bit larger than my Envision and make the picture a bit more grainy than the Envision. However the colors and the color separation are spectacular and superior to the Envision. The picture fills the entire screen is very square and flat and needed almost no adjustment out of the box. The naviset utility is the best I've seen for monitor adjustment.

Review: I had a 17" sony before this and I cant believe my eyes this monitor is fantastic! I tweaked the settings to adjust the screen size (which by the way was very easy to do) and I am just blown away by the picture Im getting. Super sharp text, deep rich color. This is one well made monitor!

Summary: Pretty Darn Good out of the Box
Review: I just received this monitor and it has made a very good first impression. It replaced an 8 year old outstanding Sony product. It is the clearest, sharpest, and brightest CRT monitor that I've seen.

Summary: Surprise disappointment from NEC
Review: I purchased this monitor in December 2002, and by December 2003 the picture had turned green. Since that time the color has been on and off. Prior to this failure the color has always been beautiful, but I had hoped it would last longer than a year. I have been working with NEC to get a replacement, but in the end I will have to pay to ship the old monitor back, and they will only give me a refurb to replace my failed monitor. Not sure what to recommend instead.
