Review: Hello to all amazon.com shoppers.....I just want to say that this monitor is an unsung hero for computers. The resolution is 1600x1200 which is basically about industry standard. A whopping 85Mhz refresh rate ( which the human eye needs at least a 72Mhz rate to have minimal eye strain and stress). This is one the top of the line monitors around. If you are looking for an excellent monitor for internet surfing, gaming, and just your normal computer work this is the one. For those who have it already enjoy it.

Review: I bought this monitor last week. So I cannot speak on the long term quality of it, however, so far it has been awesome. The picture is sharp and text is clear. Slight moire lines, but was able to almost get rid of them with the "remove Moire" button.Was considering a Trinitron, but bought this because of the price. Will probably never go back to Sony. Troy

Summary: The best monitor I have ever owned
Review: I highly recommend this monitor. I have owned one for the last two years and believe that its price is well below its performance. The colors are rich and the clarity high. Do not make a mistake and buy any other monitor. Besides you cannot beat the three year warranty.

Summary: Samsung SyncMaster 950 P Initial Reaction
Review: I just received my monitor today (7 days total time to my home in Northern CA). The price was right plus shipping. I unplugged my old NEC 3V 15-inch monitor, purchased in 1994, and set up the new SyncMaster. All I can say is wow! I know I am going from an old 15-incher to the new 19-incher but the difference is really night and day. I often wonder if these reviews are really written by customers, so I thought I would jot down my thoughts because I shopped at Amazon because of the price and have no affiliation with them. The monitor looks damn good after just one hour of use. The software was easy to set up (Windows ME) and the Colorific Color Matching software looks good. For the money this monitor appears to be a winner. Text looks sharp and the color saturation on JPEG images is outstanding. So far, so good with this product. I am a happy camper!!

Summary: High Res. Issue
Review: I like the monitor in 1024x768 mode, but as I increase the display resolution I get alot of text distortion on the right side of the display. I have tried all the adjustments on the monitor but none seem to help. I have a Dell 933 MHz with the standard 32 Meg graphics card. Game graphics are very good.

Review: I've had the monitor for awhile. It's a refurb from Samsung. Very, very sharp text and icons on Windows. Corners sharp too, color good. However, after about 6 mos. or so, the monitor started doing this gamma fade/out of focus thing every once in a while. Now this could be because it's a refurb unit. In any case, I'm so impressed with the sharpness and low price, I would buy two of these before I bought one of the Sony's, which look washed out and ill-defined to me. Beware the 955DF (flat screen) it is not as sharp and harder to adjust then the 950P, I bought both and returned the flat 955DF. I also like the 950P because it has BNC and regular video connectors on the back. So I can hook up two computers at once (after buying the BNC vid cable cheap from pccables.com). The pictures is sharper and colors richer with the BNC cable on the 950P.
